It clearly wasn’t anything to do with any sensible discussion of the topic as specified in the article title, was it?

To take a wild guess, I’d say it was more than likely the raft of transphobic slurs posted by multiple users on the thread.

The transphobic comments had absolutely no relevance to the sport’s decisionmakers’ ruling whatsoever, and the thread was just being used to throw bigoted, Neanderthal abuse around.

What I, or anyone else, thinks about the ruling in that context is completely irrelevant.

It’s about the acceptance or otherwise of the discrimination and abuse of persecuted minority groups. It isn’t OK to use racissst language, it isn’t OK to use homophobic language, and it isn’t any better to use transphobic language.

Plus they ain't banned - they're just not able to compete with women. Can still compete with men.

If you go back and read my comments, you’ll find that I haven’t insulted or labelled anyone.

I referred specifically to the comments as Neanderthal, and not any given person or group of people.
