Playing EFL regulation extra time at Reading ............
SEVEN minutes!
I guess Davies was a clear penno too and could gave had Alssop sent off. Heroic effort just not the quality, Knights urgency at the end was nice to see though
Can only think that Jason wont be with us next season. What other reason for not using him earlier today ?
Naive of me to think otherwise, I suppose.
Another opportunity missed with Reading losing.

And Barnsley
We can overhaul Reading and still get done by Barnsley.
Only one I can think of was him and Bielik favour the right at the expense of creating anything on our left. Thought Thompson might be able to be a conduit between LB and LW.
It's still heroic though, the effort this decimated team puts in, still standing toe to toe, despite and inspite of everything.

If by some miracle we catch Reading I am pretty sure we will be ahead of Barnsley though

I hate to criticise anything WR, his staff and team have done but I do question the away tactics. Too passive, not enough midfield runs into the oppo box, no Stearman when we seem to look vulnerable at the back. Can never question the workrate and the home form has been amazing.
The ref was appalling - it was a definite penalty right at the end but Swansea doubtless will also feel they had cause for complaint although I was not convinced the armball of Curt was worth a penalty and I'm equally not sure Allsop deserved a red or even if it was a foul.
I thought the following were excellent - Byrne, Thompson and to a slightly less degree, Ebiowei and Bielik. I still maintain Feste should always play on the right. He seems lost on the left.
Definitely a pen at the end. For Curtis’ he was pulling his arm back and away. Allsop’s, meh … Patterson went down to easily.
It's the old defender trick, step across your man, turn quickly and run backwards, then it's not obstruction.
Think it was a 50/50 call. Not sure about Davies' handball he could have known what he was doing. Not sure we did enough today to deserve a point though.
Still keep fighting with all we've got, that's all we can ask
Well I've just got back. Once again we gave it a decent go but once again we are just too short of threat up front. I agree with Chicago about being too passive. I can understand the wish not to over-commit but there has surely got to be a bit more intention to get on the front foot away from home.
I had a good view of the incidents. Allsop's certainly didn't look like a foul at all, and Davies had no time to react so it seemed a very optimistic shout for a penalty. At the end it did feel like it should have been a penalty to us. Had it not been the last minute and a match-defining decision, and had he not already have given us one, I think he would have given it. It seemed he just bottled the decision to me.
But Swansea were quite a bit better overall so can't complain too much. None of our players were bad, and none great. I thought Byrne was the pick.
It is what it is.

Yes, I'm sure he bottled it Vidal. Having given us one penalty he was unlikely to give another no matter how justified. Says it all about refereeing standards. I also agree that we probably did not deserve a point and until the mindset changes I cannot see us getting any more points away from home.
Morning after view :
Morning all. A bit disappointed really. I agree about the lack of use of Stearman in away games. We were caught cold with the first 2 goals sadly. All in all for me a fair result because Swansea simply had the better players. I've been saying for a while that we're not quite right in midfield. Equally we have little threat up front so we're going to struggle getting back into games. Agree the 'penalty' at the end shouldv'e been given though.
Relegation does look more and more a liklihood but we keep fighting.... but I dont think we have enough in the locker to claw back what's need. Hope I'm wrong
We've been well and truly f'd over by MM and the EFL and it's commendable what we actually have acheived with so little this season. In many ways it's brought us all closer together....
1. Goalie. Allsop. I like him and he's had a good season. No fault with the goals.
2. Defence. Byrne, Curtis, Cash & Buchanan. Were they at fault for the goals conceded ??? I think at times we rely too heavily on them to keep us in games. I cant fault them for effort and fight.
3. Midfield. Bielik & Tommo. I feel neither has quite reached the heights that they did previously this / last season but played ok. Perhaps Bielik the pick of the two.
4. Forwards. Plange, Lawrence, Ebiowei & Morrison. All played their part without actually causing Swansea too many problems. Lawrence took his penalty well. Plange has never quite looked the same since he signed for Palace.
5. Subs. Festy, JK38 & The Pole. Not able to turn the game. Festy like Plange hasn't looked the same since he signed for Udinese. JK did inject some energy. The Pole shoulda been given a penalty but he's really quite inexperienced but given his size could develop over time.
Overall, I think we've pretty well accepted what's going to happen. I hope the takeover goes through and that we can keep together the components that have made this season actually quite enjoyable at times. UTR
