Fascinating game today. Hopefully City feel the pressure of having bottled a 14 point lead.
I'll be leaving for the game about 3:15.
Leaving it a bit late in case Liverpool suddenly announce a few late Covid cases.
For me we need to win to have a real chance at the title, and to do that we'll have to raise our game massively compared to what we've been playing at. Play how we have been we'll get spanked by city. Also worrying the form Salahs in, can't afford passengers in this game.
Hopefully we go up a few gears and put in a good performance. We'll need it with 2 mancs as ref and var especially Tierney the corrupt
I didn’t realise how bad Klopps record is against Pep. Points to a City win. Think Foden will boss the game.

what do you mean bad? both have 9 wins and 4 draws? and Peps clearly had the more financially doped teams where as Klopps built up underdogs that compete with them kind of teams from scratch.
Thinks Klopps 5 wins to Peps 4 at Liverpool vs City fixtures too.

He has. But its 2 things really:
1. We play a bit deeper now to negate the threat of the liverpool front 3 on the transition
2. Liverpool play higher up the pitch which negates Mane's ability as he is better on the transition and Firminho just isnt the same player anymore.
I actually think the front 3's performance will determine if liverpool win or lose. You just cant ignore Salahs form and without Firminho to knit it together I am positive.
lot of draws in there no? not like pep has 7 wins? 3? and atleast one of them prob fortunate esp if the 2-1s in one of them and another the title was sewed up and it was after the long corona break the beat us 1-4 at anfield? felt like a nothing game really they wanted to make a point we probably couldnt care. Think theyve spanked us a few times which can happen such is their quality but theyre usually close competitive games when theres stuff on the line.
think we lost mane early in one of the big defeats too tbf.
bright side we're due a win then

You lost Mane when you were already behind.
City's stand-in GK kept a clean sheet, your team totally collapsed.

Wouldn't say he has sussed him out. He just does what everyone else does, only with much better players and that's play a more defensive game against Liverpool. They still look to control the possession but they drop back and don't leave the same gaps they do against everyone else.
I think the difference now is that we have game changers on the bench now, which means we can play a pressing game which City haven't enjoyed against us in the past but when players are tired we can bring on others without a huge drop in quality. Although due to City changing their game against us, Klopp has changed our game against them so I wouldn't be surprise to see a low scoring draw.
It will certainly be interesting which we both teams set up.
Gundo will be fasting, better to start without him as we're not short in that area.
