This half shows exactly why Alexander-Arnold doesn't start for England. His positional sense is awful. Good teams target him and get in behind far too easily. He's brilliant going forward but his job first and foremost is to defend

Maybe not but as a neutral I can see how he gets targeted. Football can be a simple game. I appreciate that Liverpool play in a way where the full-back role is as important going forward as it is to defend but playing such a high line against City when they have such quality at the ball in behind just seems criminal.

That’s one thing but conceding twice from not clearing your lines is unforgivable any game, but literally unbelievable in a game of this magnitude.
