Could this just be a little hurry up? Ralf also has links with Leipzig so maybe he's got involved in the 'rumour'.

Let him go.

Underwhelming appointment as it is anyways.

It would be a bit of sideways move for him, Ajax to Leipzig.

That said, I read a profile of him that suggests he is very strategic about his career moves, focusing on going to clubs where he can develop his skills and/or benefit his longer-term career path, rather than simply going to the biggest club that's interested in him. Perhaps there's a scenario where he sees RB Leipzig as a good project. It's a well run club with potential to take a step forward (and it's hard to say that making RBL a title challenger is a bigger leap forward than making United a title challenger). Do well and you're set to take the Bayern or City job in a couple of years.

I suppose it comes down to just how badly we sell ourselves and whether our sporting operation looks irredeemably dysfunctional or on the brink of getting its act together.

Already protecting yourself from disappointment by getting on his back?

The one thing we haven't tried yet, as a club, is trying to sign a manager that is young, hungry, progressive and has won things.

If he is appointed, just try and enjoy it

In some ways we can't lose here. We either get ETH and have some minor hope back or we miss out on him and the fans will be absolutely livid with the owners.

Is 52 young these days?

posted on 10/4/22

if United showed some spirit in the last few games and proved to ETH that there was some hope with these players it might make it an easier decision for him to choose United.

However that might mean removing Ralf from the equation. Right now.

Ten Hag to RB Leipzig NOT TRUE! They are very happy with Tedesco.
Ten Hag was on the list BEFORE they signed Tedesco

Leipzig are one of the form teams in the Bundesliga since Tedesco's been in charge. If they were to win their game in hand they'd have earned only two less points than Bayern during that time.

He's done a good job there so it's hard to see the links to Ten Hag now being true.

De Telegraaf saying they’ve made him a big offer to take over now too.

There's nothing coming from Germany about this.

Leipzig are in the top four, still in Europe and the semi-finals of the DFB Pokal which they're favourites to win.

I just find it hard to believe.

Yeah, but you know how reliable these Dutch outlets are when it comes to one of their own. Fingers crossed we still get it over the line though.

There's nothing in this. ETH is coming to Utd, sinister forces at work here.

People are looking at this wrong, it’s not about ten hags, it’s about who takes over when he fails. Poch? Zidane?

Obtainable with a better record than Ten Hag: Poch, Mancini, Rodgers

Could be obtained: Ancelotti, Tuchel. Simeone

He’s very reliable in relation to German matters. Called the Sancho deal correctly all the way through.
