Definitely a blow for us. Doherty has been brilliant of late and integral to the way we’ve been playing.

Of course we could still get CL without him however similarly to Arsenal, we don’t have too much on the bench so anymore injuries and we could struggle

Btw it’s no surprise we picked up an injury with the way that Villa were clattering us all game. We’re lucky that Kulu and Kane managed to get through unscathed.

Absolutely no need it for it and have now finished a players season! Very poor from Gerard and a discrete that it was allowed to happen time and time again by the ref.

Of all the injuries we could have had, I feel like we can cope with this one the best. For a start he was playing over on the left often with Royal lining up on the right - so essentially playing out of position. Doc was playing there because Reggie and Sess were both injured - yet both are back now.

Doc has really stepped up since Conte came in, but I don’t think this will hamper us at all.

Frustrating as an Irishman. Was great for the national team that he was playing regularly.

A blow especially for the lad himself after he's found his best form for us....

But hopefully we can cope with sess and Reggie both back.

We're fortunate he's the only one missing the rest of the season, it's almost like Gerrard was thinking it was like in his era , "give them a clattering lads,it's only Spurs"
