Playing in 5 man defence easier to defend, but player though , I’d rather Trent

Both are very good, but very different players.

James was at fault for a few goals. Vinicius made him look like a league 1 defender in both games.

The commentator was practically noshing him off last night, even when he made mistakes

Was incredible last night. After coming back from injury to lock down Vinicius for most of the game, who’s on fire atm, was a fantastic effort. No wonder benzema asked for his shirt

What’s he better at in your opinion? James got a better goals/assist per game this season, 10 x better defensively, stronger, not sure if quicker. Trent is clsss. I hope we can find a way to play both of them tbh. But to say it’s not even close is a bit much

Trent for me ia pure footballer, better on the ball, much more controlled IMO. a better allround player

think they both have weaknesses defensively, bu Reece tends to be played as a RWB so will always have more cover on his side and more freedom to attack, TAA has less cover, if that makes sense

Can only judge on individual moments. The amount of ball watching Trent done at the weekend was funny

Vinicus set up 2 of the 5 goals you conceded over both legs.

Not sure just how much locking down that is.

as I said earlier I don't have an allegiance to either club or player

just my opinion that Trent is clear of Reece

but as you seem to see a lot more of them both than I do, what is it that Reece can do that Trent can't?

James looks stronger defensively, but Trent’s comfortably better with the ball.

Naah Trent can be as good if not better defensively if he was asked to play the same way as Reece.

Trent is actually amazing for putting in a decent shift in defence while also having to be the creative brains for the team in attack. Reece would look like a muppet trying to do it all like Trent does.
