Well they weren't, because they lost.

I think the way the game was reffed didn’t help. Let a lot go early on, and tried to keep the game moving. But that offered little protection to our players, so I’m not surprised the game built up to that. How Savic stayed on with VAR?!

Anyway, great to go through, but has come at a big cost to the squad physically. Be interesting to see how he approaches the FA Cup, Liverpool were able to make 7 changes yesterday.

Grealish and Foden are absolute bellends of the highest order.

Try and give it out then pizz themselves when somebody calls them on it.

Lets also not forget the 2 penalties that should have been awarded.

What exactly did Foden 'try to give out'?

As a Chelsea fan I watched the game, and the the best player on the pitch, and the best man in the stadium was Phil Foden, by a mile, well played mate .

I am not remotely a fan of either, so couldn't care less who got through. But, it seems to me Foden somehow using his final breath to manage a three to four roll technique to, somehow get himself back on the pitch from 6 foot off it, whilst trying to show the world he was actually dying at the time, was the main reason it all kicked off in the first place.

If you can't see the play acting involved in this by a player who, by the way, was back on his feet pushing and shoving with the best of them about 1 minute after the "death roll", then you are blind.

Tell me, if a player did that whilst your team was chasing the last few minutes of a game, I suppose you would be totally all right with that ? yeah, right.

And perleeease don't try to convince anyone outside of City that a couple of injuries is "putting you in big trouble" Nobody, absolutely nobody is going to buy that, so just don't go there on this forum.

Pretty rich coming from a Spurs fan.

Foden had actually been fouled quite badly, Spurs players were going down when there was no one near them to break up play at the Etihad.

Of course losing one of the best midfielders in Europe and arguably the best RB in the country isn't going to help going into a Semi Final against Liverpool.
