yes I thnk that's not a bad result for us considering West Ham must have been drained physically and mentally after a big performance in Europe on Thursday and Burnley had a whole week off to prepare.
Who knows if Dyche was still in charge if his leadership would have nicked the win for Burnley but irrespective of who takes over from Dyche I do think they will struggle to get more than a point a game but we obviously need to do the business against Palace and not be bothered what teams below us do.
Just got back from a walk - better half got very annoyed with me constantly looking at my phone.
I actually would have taken the draw to begin with as I had an uneasy feeling about this due to the Hammers Thursday night excursion.
Watched the game. Burnley had an early set back with
a horrendous injury to Westwood. Despite that, they kept
their heads and fully deserved a draw. If they'd won it
would've been fair too. Now though, we are definitely in
a much more comfortable position.
Pressure's massively on Everton.
Between Burnley and Everton for survival. Pretty much counted us out of it, although we do play Man C, Chelsea and Arsenal consecutively so will probably leave space to be reeled in a bit.

Not sure I share your confidence, Palace have a limited squad that Vieira has got playing well. Then as you say City, Arsenal and Chelsea followed by Brighton (our nemesis) and Brentford. I don't see us picking up many more points.

No, but I can't see those below us getting many either.
True, Burnley and Watford play each other, got to hope that Watford win.
Do you remember when we top of the Championship at Christmas 3 years ago and everyone was saying, ‘the team that’s top at Christmas always gets promoted?’ Well, that didn’t end so well for us, did it?
I feel exactly the same way about this relegation battle. Burnley have two winnable home games coming up, against Wolves and Southampton. If the win those and we draw at Palace, that leaves us level on points, but Burnley ahead on goal difference. After that, we have 3 fixtures where we could conceivably get no points.
Granted, Everton have a tough run in too, but the idea that we are already safe is ludicrous.
Being Leeds, I just feel this will go down to a 95th minute corner for Brentford, Pontus steals into the box as Eriksen gets ready to deliver…

You have got your calculations wrong. If Burnley win
their next 2 and that's a big if they will have 31pounts as they are 8 points behind us on 25. If we draw against Palace we will have 34 points.
Let's just wait and see and try not to imagine the worst.
I'm not counting my chickens but I will be surprised if Burnley get more than 7 more points as they like Watford
struggle to score.
Oh, thanks, Macca. 52 years of paranoia as a Leeds supporter really messes with your maths.
Still not sure we are safe. Palace a massive game really but we will know more about where others are heading before we play them.
We are absolutely not safe yet with work to do. Yes Burnley have only won 4 games all season, but there have been examples of sides who suddenly find a streak in the last group of games at the end of the season when it is the last chance saloon.I think back to escapes from Leicester in the season before their league win and many more.
There could be a few sides 'on the beach', resting players ahead of European games(Leicester have to play Everton twice) and some that may have given up (Watford 10 home defeats on the trot with Burnley to play).
We'll need to do our bit and I wouldn't be at all surprised if we go into those last 2 tricky games needing something. Preparing for it mentally now so if it is a better scenario than that then brilliant.
People should see our games played as points in bag, you can bet while people are looking at what we have, Burnley and Everton fans'll be saying we're catchable, but they'll know they have to get those points!..
They are no better off then us, and its going to be as hard for them to get those points as it is for us!..
We have to take each game as it comes and the odd point here and there puts more pressure on them, and whoever we play against, football has shown in the past that every game is winnable!..
We're not out off it yet, but neither are they!..
