Had anyone that wished we had signed Weghorst seen him play?

He should have scored a couple. He reminds me of Enoch Showumni

Anyone sh! tting it now? Burnley always find
a fecking way. I still think this'll go all the way to
the last day. By then Norwich and Watford will
be done and dusted.

Leaving us, Toffees, Burnley to scrap it out.

Palace game became very important now. Teams with nothing to play for are nuisance .... unless we're playing them.

Can't see us beating Palace.

posted on 21/4/22

Could have been 2-2, Adams missing twice from 8 yards.

In't it good fans off the teams behind us'll be thinking the same as some off ours do?..

We beat Palace and they'll be in the thick like us, but Burnley beating Southampton drags them into it as well!..

Why cant people look in front and say they're just as catchable for us as we are for the teams behind us!..

Not sure about anyone else, but I think the confidence some of ours have in our team rubs off on the players!..

In a negative way!..

Germany, I doubt any Leeds player reads ja.

Add to that, we have the third worst GD at -30.

Everton -19 (in the relegation fight proper with us)
Burnley -17 (in the relegation fight proper with us)
Villa -4 (3 pts ahead of us + game in hand)
Palace +2 (plus game in hand)
Southampton -16 (played one more game 6 pts ahead)
Brentford -8 (played one more game 6 pts ahead)

Our GD is going to be a massive factor in this.
Shipping goals for fun during MB's final days will
be the millstone around our necks until the end.

If we beat Palace it'll be a huge 3 points.

Palace are only a few points ahead. I’ll be disappointed if we lose to them.

posted on 21/4/22

4pts-3pts-2pts!..

Played one more game 6pts ahead!..

Burnley, 5pts behind, same games played!..

Everton, 4pts behind, one game less, they were 2 games less that had they won both they'd be in front off us, 1 game left and if won they'll still be behind us!..

Some teams in front have games in hand, but like the ones behind us they have to win them, the same as we have to and they're for us just as catchable as we are to those behind us!..

And I'll bet players do look in on these boards, even if its just for a laugh, I dare say some will even write on some in names you know nothing about!..

Donn/Lowfields?.

I confess I was a Weghorst fan but lost interest. He has had a couple of injuries and looks off the pace, but no, he wouldn't work for us. As for Burnley, they looked up for it tonight, but Southampton were already on holiday. The Wolves game will be a much bigger test for them. As for Everton, their run in is as bad as ours, with Liverpool and Chelsea up next for them.
What does that mean for us? Three points in our next four games would be decent. Two points from the last two should seal it. Palace look very beatable. They offered nothing against Chelsea in the Cup and were pretty lacklustre against Newcastle. With Coops and KP back, I expect to see more quality and control in our performance.

This is why I thought LIW’s “Now we are Safe” thread was a little premature.

I said I would access after this weekends games and the way I’m seeing it now is that Burnley could still be a problem. We really need Wolves to do us a favour.

Looking at the run in, we are nowhere near safe yet.

Isn't being a Leeds fan fun?

I'm still scarred by several events 45 plus years ago plus the debacle of '82.

Have been a bit more steeled with the fiasco's post early 2000s and have accepted that our beloved footy club seems destined to reach the extremes of peaks and troughs throughout time - its just the way of LS11.

Yes this is making us sweat but we should all be used to it by now, whatever your age.

Remember the disappointment versus Derby then the contrast of the season after.

Looks like its going to the wire.

Batty - where's Lee Chapman's sofa when we need it?

I thought the Dyche sacking would have a negative impact but it seems like its spurred them on!

Palace game is looking like we need three points now

I'm assuming everyone watched the Burnley game?
And the one against West Ham. Jackson has basically
turned them into a football team. I also thought Dyche
was insane (for Burnley's survival).

Against West Ham they played with more dare I say
attacking flair. Last night, they looked transformed.
They played good football. And they did just sit back.

Reading between the quotes, the players weren't
bothered by Dyche's sacking. And they are now saying
how they're "enjoying themselves", "have the pressure
taken off them", and are "being trusted to play".

Seems Dyche's system may have stifled the players
actual ability. And that's a real problem for us. They
have a much easier run in. So it comes down to can
we keep gaining points. And has Frank got it in him
to kick start a squad that is (on paper) better than ours?

I'll be sweating bullets if we get nothing from Palace.
