And you have continuously ignored this point and refused to comment on it.
AOC was one of the most vociferous opponents of “deathsantis” continuously criticizing his response to Covid.
Yet went holidaying, partying and clubbing indoors in Florida without a mask while demanding NYC businesses stayed shut and residents adhered to Covid protocols
Please explain this hypocrisy to me?

Here’s some advice for you - rather than pretend you haven’t been schooled here by American people with actual stats, maybe take some time to do proper research on the state of things there or better yet, do an article of your own about AOC and see how many people defend her after your manufactured outrage that people defend her over DeathSantis. You being Australian has nothing to do with anything other than I find it bizarre your obsession with a country you’ve never lived in and doesn’t affect your day to day.
You should focus your agenda on stopping the atrocities on Christmas Island. The despicable treatment of asylum seekers sent there.
You also lived in England why not focus on the inhumane decision to send asylum seekers to Rwanda from the UK.
But no, you’d rather focus on one of fifty states in the US’s education laws.
Guess it doesn’t fit your agenda, again, just like the left always does, just brush over other things…
Because I don’t think anyone on here would deny of these three things
1: a Florida governor banning s3xuak orientation discussions in school for grades 3 (age 10) and below
2: Australia sending asylum seekers to live in concentration camps on a remote island with nothing but horrible conditions and multiple reports of horrific outcomes
3: the UK sending asylum seekers to live in a third world country with wide spread diseases
Number 1 is far down the list of real conversations. But I guess you’d rather not discuss the other two for some reason…

Erm I’m not wrong
The bill, which some opponents have called "Don't Say G@@y," was signed by DeSantis on Monday. It reads, "Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards."
Grade 3 and below, but again let YOUR media educate you not facts.
I’m not defending the man.
You called him deathsantis, which I found hilarious because while Florida may have seen a slightly higher death rate, he hasn’t forced people out of jobs into poverty, losing homes etc
But again, I don’t expect you to understand because you don’t live here.
I live in CA I’ve seen the damage that Newsom has done to many blue collar workers and poor people by making them lose their jobs with his policies in the last two years.
Again, I don’t expect you to understand, how could you, you’re at Coogee tanning yourself getting ready to go to Coogee Bay Hotel to watch the United match
Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards."

Yeah, read that again and it’s not grade 3 and below. It could apply to ‘any’ students that the state feels learning about these things is appropriate. It’s the small print that is key here and has been pointed out by greater minds than you.
I have a new name for someone based on her shocking court appearance..
Perjury Taylor Greene. I doubt even Dwight could defend that witch.
Sure thing Robb
Again you show zero knowledge of the American system
Those deemed not at grade 3 level due to learning difficulties will of course be kept away from it due to their adjudicated mental age.
Children at grade level of grade 4 are fine to learn about these things.
Keep talking with your lack of knowledge of our system.
Go get a pack of Winnie blues, a slab of VB and enjoy Arsenal embarrassing us.
Give it up, you can denounce my politics all you want and heck you may be right, but you’ve just shown there you don’t actually know the system here and that last comment clearly showed it.

The funny thing is De Santis is one of the most popular American governers in a state that is basically 50/50 red/blue but according to you their residents are wrong and he's done a terrible job. And lefties supporting a giant corporation having unfair tax status is also funny.

π yeah, that’s incorrect once again. The small print is there to allow any teacher in any school to argue that talking about these subjects are age inappropriate. How are you so naive to this bill? If a teacher feels that 13 or 14 year olds learning about those shouldn’t because it’s her opinion that it’s age inappropriate then she can use this small print to decide not to teach it.
You are the king of making gotcha comments that are little more than puffs of vapour in a windy field
“Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards."
The wording of the bill is terrible, and I think is going to lead to all kinds of challenges in court. The “classroom instruction” part, in particular.
Some (fruitcake) parents are going to read that as teachers shouldn’t even be answering their children’s direct questions about why their male teacher has a husband rather than a wife, which I think is where the problems will probably begin.

I think the funniest thing in this exchange is that a couple of people on here genuinely think my only news source is Australian. It’s 2022. I think most of us who have a fully working brain know how to navigate the internet and get news from all sources and nations to get a fairer look at things
