totally agree Chelsea should wear blue
I assume it’s because we’ve been allocated as the home team, so you have to wear you away strip. Seems a bit daft as obviously there’s no colour clash with red and blue….
Apparently the yellow kit is a good luck kit for Chelsea.
Proper clutching straws but that is the reason.
What have we won wearing the yellow kit then? Last season's CL Final ?
It is indeed mental.
Even if Chelsea are deemed the 'away team', when playing 'away' to Liverpool, they would wear their blue kit.
Is their some underhand marketing ploy involved ,maybe to do with the Asian markets ?
This makes no sense, should be red Vs blue.
Yet more idiotic decision making from the powers that be in football.
Pretty sure I read ,a while ago when this cropped involving another Club was that it was part of the sponsorship deal that clubs have with their kit sponsors and they have to use each kit a certain number of times in the season

Given our last few showings in domestic finals... we'll need it

Most likely this.
Or they have unsold stock of the away kit needing shifted?
Chelsea are officially the final home team btw.
They should wear blue but it's Chelsea that chose to wear yellow I don't get it.
Mental...of course cfc should wear blue if they want.

This does seem to be the logical answer, economics is always the bottom line !
I hate this modern trend of wearing away kits when there's no colour clash. I've even seen it were the away kit looks more of a clash than the home kit.
Should only be worn when we play the likes of Everton, Leicester and Birmingham in my opinion!
Its all about kit sales. Teams should only wear their away kit when there is a colour clash
