Morning Sizz
Not sure how I’d feel about this. I love Poch but this seems a bit sentimental. If the first couple of months didn’t go well it would tarnish his legacy a bit.
In any case I hope we can keep Conte.

It feels like something that should probably happen in two years time!
What would help is Conte signing a 3/4 year contract. Show his commitment to the club. This would send the right signal to players and fans alike.

Exactly this, how can players buy into a `project` when the coach might be leaving in a years time
What’s his contract? 2 years?
The summer is a kind of crossroads for us and Conte. The rumour is that it's his team putting the feelers out there in the press as HE wants the PSG gig but they want Zidane. If it is true that he's the one doing all the flirting then for christ's sake, get rid of him. What kind of building job can we possibly do with someone with one eye constantly at the exit door. As things stand, the only big jobs likely to be available in the summer are PSG and Juve. Plus, if other rumours are correct, Real Madrid, assuming they don't win the CL. If any one of those clubs come in for Conte, he's gone. He's never going to be committed to the long term job here so it might be better for all parties for us to go our separate ways.
Then there's a recruitment issue. If Conte is planning on leaving, I'd rather we didn't sign players in his image if he's just going to leave. Equally, I wouldn't be keen on sanctioning the sales of Ndombele and Lo Celso if Poch was planning to return. They're players he bought that never had a chance to play under him for an extended period of time. The further we go down the Conte route in terms of recruitment, the harder it will be to transition to the Poch style.
If we take too long on this decision get rid of Conte, there's another issue. Perez at Madrid is a big fan of Poch. If Ancelotti doesn't win the CL (despite winning La Liga) he's rumoured to be for the chop and the first person Perez is going to look at is Pochettino. He's the one he's wanted for a while now and he'll be completely free. It's no wonder there are rumours that Levy has been in direct conversation with Poch lately. I think he's already lining him up personally in the hope he can snare him before Madrid make their move. Poch's stock hasn't decreased for me just as Tuchel's didn't before he got the Chelsea job. The PSG job is a poisoned chalice where three world class players HAVE to play but refuse to defend. It's completely unworkable. That's not on Poch and never will be for me. I'd take him back in a heartbeat. He'll still stroll into a top job if we don't get him.
I just want someone at Spurs that's committed to a long term project. I'm sick of both Kane and Conte appearing to find the grass greener. I want the ownership, the management and the playing staff all pulling in the same direction. Not instant results. A project.
Pochettino in 2016/17 had us finish the league on 86 points. Let that sink in to all those not in favour of bringing him back. On our budget, 86 points. It's staggering we're not all begging him frankly.

Conte would've won the league with that squad
