not an easy injury to come back from, know a guy who done his playing rugby and nearly 15 years later he still walks with a limp and never returned to any kind of sport
And the femur can also jeopardize the femoral artery.
Which is highly dangerous/life threatening. I said in
Jonty's thread, it was self-inflicted. But still, you have
to hope for a full recovery.
Funny enough, thigh injuries aren't serious at all, can get through those while playing, but thigh bone is surely a serious injury given the size of the bone. Can't say ive known anyone with a fractured thigh. He's off season and pre season to get a chunk of the recovery done. He'll be back.
"Dallas is 31 and whilst I hope we see him back, wouldn't surprise me if he never pulls on the shirt again."
I was thinking this today.
A lot of the team needs a rebuild and this might just be how it happens for Dallas.
If so, would be very sad end for someone who has been a mainstay of our success the last 4 years.
Dallas has a very high football IQ. Would love to see
him move into coaching and then management. I think
he would've gleaned as much as anyone from MB.
Could see him being a top manager.
Did not have a good season, and it has gone from bad to worse. Very sad as he was pivotal in our success last season and the last 4 years. Good luck SD.
Well said, Stuart Dallas is Mr LUFC if anyone is! Hope he recovers quickly - we're going to miss him now more than ever.
We have been very very unlucky this season with injuries, now Cooper again and Dallas, we seem jinxed..

Do you mean Dallas hasn’t had a good season? I don’t agree. At the beginning of the season Dallas was not playing as we all know he can, but it turned out he was dealing with the death of a very close friend. I applaud him for having tried to play through it - definitely putting side before self.
The team as a whole have not performed well this season, mainly because we have had so many key players missing through injury and many square pegs trying to fill round holes. Dallas has played left back but we all know he is better in midfield.
I really hope he makes a full recovery and stays at Leeds, even if it means not playing but helping in a coaching role.
Compared to previous seasons he did not. Fair enough the loss of that friend did not help. BTW, can someone tell me exactly what kind of injury he suffered ?

Thanks Elsbels, femoral fracture, does not sound good. still that NI bloke is strong and a fighter.
Hope Dallas is ok soon, for Leeds and NI.
Awkward looking tackle.

He would be lucky to see any game time next year.
Meaning by the time we see him again he will be the wrong side of 32.
I just can't imagine him coming back in as a first team regular in that situation.
He is going to need to be replaced for next year, and you are hardly going to bring in a player with the expectation of him being cover for dallas once he returns.
I suppose the one advantage is that if he can get back fit his football brain and versatility would mean he will always be a useful option to have in the squad
He's been phenomenal for us, Matty. Love the bloke.
Stuey is one of the major reasons we got into the PL - and I made comments pre Bielsa, that we hadnt seen the Dallas at Brentford - well he proved me wrong.
Love Dallas though we do, his recklessness has let the team down and made survival an even harder prospect. Self-destructiveness seems to be a part of this team's make-up.
Sorry to hear about this as a football fan in general. He's a very likeable footballer and I hope he recovers from this the best he can.

Agree with you Lorralorimer, this tackle was very risky and reckless on his part, am surprised Grealish did not get badly injured. think it showed Dalllas' frustration over the whole season.
