I’ve genuinely always like Jose, i think he’s a great pantomime villain and good for the game even if his tactics aren't often great. Most of the time he’s just taking the p-ss and I find it funny that so many people take it so personally, it’s a f-cking game. I don’t really like managers and players simply because they play for my team, I really like Klopp for example.

I'm not going to wade into the Jose discourse but wanted to pick up on the Tammy Abraham angle. It's great to see him thriving in Italy, and more generally to see a lot more young English players than e.g. 10 years ago taking smart decisions to move abroad to develop their career in the long run in favour of staying in England, either to languish on the bench of a big club or to get the biggest available contract in the short term. Tomori is another great example, following in the footsteps of Bellingham and Sancho.

Abraham has always had a lot of the tools necessary to be a forward who thrives in today's football. I have no idea whether Mourinho has (as per the OP) 'turned him into a very good striker' because we don't really know what has gone on between them on a coaching level. But just as we can credit Abraham with the bold ambition to go to Italy, we can credit Jose with, not for the first time, picking out a player who had the right attributes to lead his attack.

It wasn't stupid at all, its the best thing Levy has ever done for the club.

You could have sacked him the week after and been in the same place you are today but having won a trophy

I appreciate your comment wasn’t an invitation to get into a back and forth debate about the merits of my comment and understand your comment is a fair, fairly open and shut statement rather than a red rag to a bull but it’s interesting to see what Tammy said about how Jose has helped him.

Again, could just be generic player platitudes but he is very clear about what Jose has done ..

“You know Mourinho’s a character that we all know”

“There’s a reason why I call him the best manager in the world. He knows how to drive you, he knows how to get under your skin and he knows how to make you feel like a very special player at times.

“He’ll never tell you but I always want to do my best for him. He pushes me to do my best.

“When I feel like I’ve done enough he tells me I have to do more.

“I experienced him when I was at Chelsea as a kid, I went to train with the first-team and he was always hard on me, he was always pushing me to better myself – I felt like when I did something right he’d tell me to do it better.

“That’s exactly what I needed, that push and that drive, especially after the difficult season I had at Chelsea where I wasn’t playing and getting much game time.

“To come here and have a manager like Mourinho to coach you, to believe in you only gives you more confidence.”

Either way it’s good to see two people who had something to prove enjoying their time in Italy 👍

As you say, it’s good to see English players broaden their horizons and take a chance outside of the PL

Ive always thought Abrahams is far more suited to Tuchel’s system than Lukaku.
