Liverpool Vs Spurs Preamble.

It’s an obvious game plan but it’s still a mostly successful one, when you look at both of their individual numbers this season.

Hopefully you do batter them but I won’t be surprised if it’s a tight game with Spurs possibly even getting a result from it.

To be fair, Conte will know exactly how Liverpool play too. It's hardly rocket surgery. What matters is how much the two teams want it (probably about the same), how confident they are (definitely Liverpool) and how good they are (again, definitely Liverpool).

As always though, what decides 'big' games like this is the big players turning up. I'm not confident we'll get anything out of the game, but it's fine margins IMO. It wouldn't be a huge shock if we nicked a point at least.

Not that I expect Spurs to get anything from this game but, surely if, as you say clubs know exactly what to expect regarding how a team will play, then how do you explain upsets that we all regularly see in football.

How then do Spurs beat City 3-2 at their place when, surely Pep knew exactly how Conte would set up and counter it ?

I do appreciate you obviously think Klopp can do no wrong and can out think / plan anyone, anytime, but he cannot anticipate how the ball will run, what decisions the ref will make ( god, we all know that one ) or how any individual players ( or the team collectively ) turns up on the day.

The unpredictability is one of the main reasons we all follow the game.

Personally i feel this game will be something like 3 or 4 goals for liverpool, spurs maybe getting 1...maybe!!
=======================
If this is how Liverpool fans think this game will end, then there is no need for Spurs to turn up is there?

You read too much garbage dude. Spurs have managed to get points at Anfield a few times, the last win was in 2011. A 2-0 win at Anfield?

The record is played 26 D6/L17

Yeah, need a big win this one Kane & Son need to be observed for the odd soft dive around the box apart from that we should beat these turkeys πŸ¦ƒ should be a good game

This is the one that worries me with the way Spurs play and I have worried about it for a couple of weeks but this morning I'm feeling confident.

In the first game they kept breaking our offside trap but I think we'll be more dominant at home and they'll be more defensive.

True the unpredictability of the game does kend itself to give weird results; a sending off or a u seen foul etc.

Re the city result. Yeah pep knew but he is unable to change; he doesn't make the right substitutions and in fact sometimes doesnt at all. Its his Achilles heel imo...stubbornness.

Think we should play Konate today to help Trent out vs Son but think we'll start Matip.

Spurs did great against City playing on the counter but our CBs are faster than Cities so we tend to handle that style better.

Saying that if they do beat the offside trap they can score unlike a lot of the teams we face who tend to lack the clinical finishers spurs have

Not our style. But I do think their I'd merit in this. Cut of kane and spurs will pretty be nullified as son relies on the passes from kane.

I think if we get the first goal and domiante kane we should win.

So completely ignore Kuluvesci then? Who’s been as good, if not an even better buy than Diaz. I’m not saying we are winning today but to say you only have to worry about Son and Kane is ridiculous. Our front 3 including Kuluvesci who has 8 assists by the way can hurt you.
