What is his relegation release clause?
i was thinking same last night as OP and have to say Bielsa made KP and without him could return to obscurity but hes not the only one. Would Bamford have received an england call up without Bielsa and the likes of dallas and klich both went well above where their talent should have taken them. Bielsa turned a lot of going nowhere mid table championship players into a formidable unit and in 10 games Ted lasso has turned them back to what they once were
England player of the year
Manager - Gareth Southgate
I think KP's still dealing with the after affects of his
injury. That aside, he does look a shadow of the player
under MB. Let's not rubbish KP though. MB wasn't
making those sublime passes, KP was. MB for sure
unlocked KP's potential and made him the star of the
team.
His price may well have dropped. But whoever capitalizes on that is getting a brilliant player.
He does not suit the style of play under JM. Under Bielsa he thrived because of Leeds' open system which made him stand out and gave him freedom to influence the game

Says more about Leeds fans than KP as a player or Southgate as a manager as far as I am concerned. Was voted for by the English public.
Been saying this since he came back, under Bielsa if he went over a certain weight he didnt play, came back from Euros 5kg too heavy and didnt play v Man U, MB was always on his case and made him the player he was,
its up to him if he has the dedication to get back his fitness, hes not a natural fit lad and obviously puts weight on quite easily.
But if we can see it so will clubs and his fee will relect that and if we stay up would we want him in our side in his current form ?
Phillips has had a very poor season. Was it West Ham that offered £50m in January? I thought it was insincere at the time, but I’d snap their hand off now.
Wow has it come to this? Suddenly our best player is garbage.

He was only any good playing for saint marcelo. Now he’s gone kalvin has forgotten how to play, and gone soft. The Yorkshire pirlo is now the Yorkshire pillow. You heard it on ja606… gotta be true
Seriously, he’s rusty as hell and I also don’t think playing as 1 of a double pivot gets the best out of him… especially as marsch sets his team up so narrow so the midfield passing lanes are clogged and there’s not much in the way of wide out balls available.
I think most top clubs might be able to see through the conundrum of the current circumstances, remember why they liked him and imagine him in their set up. But clearly missing most of the season through injury isn’t going to help his value.
joke right.........no we don't
I don't think hes fully fit and Marsch isnt getting the best out of him. I don't see that as really being his fault. And he was excellent at the Euros. There wasnt many better. Thought he was better than Rice TBH.
How Phillips played for Bielsa shows what he can, stupid to think that's gone over night!..
He knows what he can, others know what he can, but taking a look at the way we're now playing it seems a lot off players have forgotten how to play!..
A change in manager and tactics, its not what they were doing under Bielsa, so as seen as Marsh can't play Bielsa ball the players are having to change to Marsh ball!..
That seems to be the problem!..
In fairness Germany, the players like the fans, have got to figure out exactly what 'Marschball' is and very quickly!
