The Cedric one was soft as anything I have ever seen. Tierney has been horrible in this game.
Holding...no complaints other than the fact that Holding did not see the writing on the wall with this ref and also he was not smart enough to not avoid the refs attention by tangling with Son 3 times in 10 mins. That was utmost stupidity and Arteta should have spoken to him before he got his first yellow or certainly right after it. Other players should also have had a word. He has let the team down massively.
I agree it was soft but it was stupid to risk, he was more likely not to score than a penalty not be given. Cedric also hit a terrible pass where only a last ditch stop by Tomy stopped Kane scoring - Cedric’s just generally out of his depth against a top class attack.
This could be ten at this rate…👀
Now it looks like Gabriel, our only remaining decent fit centre back has pulled his hamstring. 👀
An absolute NIGHTMARE evening for Arsenal. 🤷🏻♂️
I can't tell if we have been lucky this season to be where we are or unlucky (covid 3 first games, and injuries). Can't believe we are potentially missing 4 of our back 4 (white is not fit) going into Newcastle on Monday
We were on top before that joke penalty. Holding must've done a line of coke before the game
Neither are cut out of for it. Let’s get top 4, and make sure they are nothing more than players to call up on other than league and first rounds of FA cup at best. We need all focus on next two games and secure the 4th

So, an understandable decision not to bring White on then.

Letter of the law it’s a pen, didn’t play the ball and was clumsy. Cedric was at fault.
Was going to write an article on these two but you’ve made my points. Holding has a bit more use as he can come on and add security but he’s not a starter just two slow , not great on the ball. I don’t think arteta had much choice but to start him. Cedric is not good enough at this level, always has a mistake in him. Both ruined a game plan that seemed to be working.

Well White is clearly not fully fit or surely they would have brought him on.
I can see a back four of
Cedric Tomiyasu Xhaka Tavares 👀
if Gabriel has pulled his hamstring and White can’t get back to fitness. 🤷🏻♂️

I think Cedric is one of those players we are conditioned to think is bad. I think he has been good enough to the point where we have not missed Tomiyasu. You wanna talk about not good enough...look at Tavares. You can see the stark difference. Yes Tomiyasu is a better player, but I think Cedric is more than capable as a number 2. I think he plays differently to Tomiyasu for sure, but we see Ramsdale passing to opponents, Odegaard scuffing shots etc..players make mistakes. And defenders get caught out..it's natural...happens to the best of them at times.
Holding just lost his head

He’s had the odd decent game here and their. Not the worst arsenal player I’ve seen but ultimately not good enough for a top 6 side. He has a tendency to switch off and do silly things. It was a pen tonight and he didn’t need to touch Son, he made a rash decision that cost us.

+1 ✅
Why the hell was Tomy not on the right to handle Son? Just plain proof of how much of a clueless feckin moron Arteta is, we already knew Cedric definitely isn't up to the Son task. It's a near certainty that Tomy would have been more effective.
And for all the useless interfering micro management that pillock does, where the hell was his micro managing whilst holding spent half an hour being an absolute tool just begging for cards. Seriously, from team selection through game management...an absolute SH!T SHOW. And a prime example of just why regardless where we finish now this season, Mikel Arteta MUST BE SACKED!
He cannot be allowed anywhere near our return to Europe if we wish to stay there. Especially if the players can still pull off 4th place in spite of their jackass manager. I mean do any of you lot really want this clown let loose on our shot in the CL if we get it because I damned sure don't. Too much chance the waste of space will just spectacularly blow it in 3 games, tanking the start of the season to boot. He's got to go.
Cedric vs Son, or Tavares vs Kulusevski...
Had White been fit enough to start, I dare say he’d have gone with a back 3.
Not that any of that will get in the way of you stamping your little feet about Arteta (again), WB2.
