They think only Mourinho will be able to attract top talent to the club.

Where does the name "No.4's come from"? I presume you mean the Barcodes? If they are looking to replace Eddie Howe, why would he come to us? He'll have better options from PL clubs, Wolves, perhaps Everton.

he will never ever have a better option

My better half said last night - Why have they got a number 4 on their shirts?- she's not wrong!

Hopefully it's a sign of how many they are going to put past Burnley on Sunday.

I did notice the number 4's on there shirts. If Eddie does come available then well, get in there first!

I know Jesse hasn’t really had much time, but I just have the feeling he isn’t the right guy for us. I would love Eddie Howe, but would our Board even consider him? On this season’s record, I can’t see them doing anything that the fans think is the right thing to do. I think if, by some miracle, we do stay up, they will still sell Kalvin. I will be gutted to see him leave.

It partly depends on the coming week and where we are going to be next season. Everton was not a good example on my part, but Wolves are a settled upper mid table club.

Either way If we go down or stay up then JM will undoubtedly get the opportunity to shape the side with his own signings so unless his record next season is very poor that sees us in the bottom 3 of the EPL or mid table Championship after a dozen games then JM is here for the forseeable.

I would personally prefer Graham Potter to Eddie Howe if I had a choice but I recognise we have to give Jesse Marsch at least a dozen games next season to prove himself worthy of taking our club forward.

Or, if Hudders don’t get promoted, nab Carlos Corberan.

No way will the US contingent on the club board consider getting rid of the American manager.

I've an idea that sacking MB and putting their man in place was down to pressure on Radz from the 49'ers and their potential takeover of the club.

He should have kept the faith.

Same as with Prime Ministers, there's an old saying in football management that every manager eventually fails. With few exceptions this is the case. Was true of Wenger, of Alf Ramsey and most others. If you can go out on your terms like Fergie, Revie and Shankley did, so your reputation remains intact, that is brilliant. I suspect Pep and Klopp will eventually walk away from City and Liverpool rerespectively so their reputations will remain unburnished.
MB had to go when he did, they put him out of his misery. He had taken us as far as he could, doubt he would have been able to turn it around.
Keeping the faith could have done him and the club a lot of harm. This way his reputation remains intact and we can all blame relegation, if it happens, on the American.

If and when JM goes Potter would be my choice. Brighton are good to watch and play the game how it should be played.

Howe wouldn’t be a bad choice though.

Potter will be aiming far higher than Leeds. I personally think he'll be next England manager when Southgate goes.

^^^^^

He'd be ideal for England. But not too shabby for
many clubs outside of that. He's excellent.

Can't imagine how Howe would feel knowing he saved them to then get kicked to the curb for ParkthebusHo.

I have clicked that link and I genuinely still don't know what I'm looking for. It's like staring at a magic eye picture and not seeing a sailboat.

Can you clarify?

I don't think Howe is going anywhere. The Toon fans singing his name all last night. The new owners coming in and saying they want to do things "right" in terms of time frames etc. I don't think they'll risk upsetting Newcastle fans by sacking him in summer after what he has done.

^^^^^

I certainly hope you're right. He's a major talent.
People can point to the January window as the reason
they stayed up (and that's part of it). But, he lost
Trippier almost immediately. And had them going in
the right direction anyway. I'm no fan of the Saudis.
I am of Howe.
