a step too far for rangers in the end i think mate, but what a chance, you'll struggle to get a weaker opponent in a final again.
thats not to say frankfurt aren't decent, i just mean you would normally get a better team.
was a scrappy game with big chances missed, really thought you would win but delighted you didn't.
as i said before, rangers winning the tournament wasn't the big deal for me, it was everything that came with it. Financial gain, no need to sell, chance to recruit, getting into pot 1.
The economic value was of greater concern to me than the trophy.

Amazing how with 50k fans in the other stadium we didn't see film from there at half time or when Rangers scored. Really quite remarkable that.

I thought the Rangers fans were fat as fook in the ground as well tbh, might have been the heat, the sobering up effect of the all day sesh wearing off or the fact they didn't have much to get off their seats about but for a EL final I thought they were schite.
Chances are a good chunk of them don't even go to Ibrox.

I'll be honest I thought the game was dot cotton, both teams looked nervy and fooked in the heat
Rangers looked fitter but the Kent chance aside never created anything of note and had to rely on a massive mistake for the goal

Not sure it was a stonewaller however I think the uefa var implementation is more biased towards quick decisions rather than correct decisions which negates the whole point of the thing. I know the complaints about EPL way but I think more correct decisions as a result? All that fun facing us after Xmas.

i think Bassey looks like he could be a terrific player to be honest, he was at fault for the goal (seems that type of finish has scuppered rangers a few times this year?) but other than that he was their best player by a mile.

He took the ball past Goldson and he tripped him, not sure how he can’t give a penalty
If it wasn’t a penalty it was a dive, it certainly wasn’t a corner because Goldson was nowhere near the ball

I think however we’re back into the realms of ‘cups don’t matter’.
All in all this has to go down as a season of disappointment for bears.
Two fantastic opportunities for all that CL lolly and look where it ends up
