Sorry had to get back from the hill. The play offs are great unless you are the one getting headbutted etc. but that's like 1 in 50,000 or so. The Scottish Championship was terrible until the play offs were brought in. Although that was previously only 1 team going up as league winners so not comparable. And sometimes the league winners didn't go up if the team that finished bottom of the Premiership wasn't the "right team". Falkirk weren't allowed to go up because Aberdeen finished bottom, for example.
I think it is about the right level of fairness vs excitement for the sake of it.
A slightly less football orientated friend asked me the other day when the final is of the PL after Sunday. Might not be far off to be fair. Super Premier League Bowl
