milky, I'm not sure he's the striker we're linked with.
But I do think the club has interest in him. Minamino
is an attacking midfielder. If any Liverpool fans are
bored and reading this, maybe they can confirm
this, I think he plays quite a free role left, centre,
and right attacking midfield positions.
Saying that, I'd love him at Leeds alongside Aaronson.
Origi is going to Milan, already pre signed. So 100% not him
If it's Che Adams or Hwang Hee-Chan I'd be happy.
Saying that, I fear I'm setting myself up for yet more disappointment. Can't help myself.
I believe its an Austrian international player we are signing. Hes got the lot this lad has.........
Ashley Barnes!!
My predictions would be
Pukki - Cheap, half decent, affordable and very hardworking. Underwhelming if true though
Dennis - Had a great season, double figures and only 24
Broja - Was linked in Jan, he's was on loan from Chelsea to Southampton, had a decent season, in spurts. Only 21 but a unit with potential for sure.
Being kept hush so Villa or Palace don't sneak in lol

I would be very wary of any Barcelona, Madrid or any other La Liga cast offs Batts... Firpo, Kiko, Lorente, Rodrigo have not exactly been value for money!

Can we stick you in charge? π

I would do the job for nought mate, as I think the majority of Leeds fans on this forum would too and have a higher success rate than Orta. Don't rate the guy at all, ask Boro fans what they think of him.
I think Radz and Leeds could do a lot better and if you don't and still support Orta then I would wager you are very much in the minority, but hey that's what us and all football supporters do, give an opinion...Nothing wrong with that unless you live in North Korea Russua or China
If he stays next season and proves me wrong and stops his love in with the bargain basement of La Liga as Batty mentioned and the new additions improve us then I have no problem with eating humble pie but let's see first.
Id steer clear of Spain and go to France and Portugal like Wolves, Brighton and Brentford do. But hey ho, I make inhalers not scout footballers
Ashley Barnes!!
^^^^^
That could only get worse if they also signed Richarlison and Gordon from Everton. Sh. thouse trio.
If we signed Barnes they'd be riots within the hour
It could get worse Frank replaces Jesse ( the mersey version not Thomas)
I think at JMs previous clubs he has favoured a big tall unit as one of his front 2 so maybe a cheeky bid for Ivan Toney at Brentford?
Hay termed the striker as 'blockbuster' and a 'Prem'
player. Pukki and Dennis are neither. It's not either of
them.
Could be Broja. I like him a lot. 'Blockbuster' suggests
either a name or a name player at a decent club or
someone we're throwing a ton of money at.
That could mean Nketiah. But, he's free to sign with
anyone. And hew was already here once. Doubt it's
him.
I love this time of the year. Speculation and hope
still alive and well. Right up to the point that you
find out we couldn't land anyone so we're giving
Dan James another go because he runs around
a lot.
Toney's a good shout. And a very good player.

Weghorst
Rather than scattergun this, here's a list of potential
names that fit 'blockbuster' (*) and 'striker' and
'Prem player' plus a few other names (most mentioned):
Arsenal – Nketiah (Free/Not a blockbuster/Good Add)
Villa – Ings* (???/Love the player)
Brighton – Maupay (not blockbuster)
Brentford – Toney*
Chelsea – Lukaku* (never happen)
Werner* (German connection with JM?)
Broja (Not blockbuster/Good Add)
Palace – Mateta (not blockbuster)
Edouard (not blockbuster)
Everton – Eff them
Leicester – Patson Daka (Played for Marsch@RBS)
Liverpool – Minamino (Not a Striker/Rumoured)
Them – Rashford* (never happen)
Man City – Jesus* (never happen)
Sterling* (never happen)
Newcastle – Wood (not blockbuster)
Southampton – Che Adams (Not blockbuster/Good Add)
Spurs – Bergwijn (nope)
West Ham – No one
Wolves – Hwang Hee-Chan (Played for Marsch@RBS)
Of all of those possibles I'd say Patson Daka
and Hee-Chan look strong possibilities. But not
sure I'd class them as 'blockbuster' signings.
If the club signed Aaronson (apparently done),
Minamino, Daka or Hee-Chan, plus Weston Mckennie
or John Swift, that would be some great work in
my mind. Four signings plus hang on to KP.
Batts..don't forget wages so it has to realistically be a player outside the top 6 that demands no more than what Leeds are prepared to pay which would be a maximum of 50 grand a week I would have thought.
The only player on the list who is 'blockbuster' and possible is Danny Ings.
Werner could be an interesting one. He's very quick and works his socks off, maybe playing at a lesser club might help him find his scoring boots again. He was red hot in Germany.
