Kulusevski Vs Diaz

Based on those figures...

Games played per goal scored:
Deki 3.6
Diaz 3.25

Games played per assist:
Deki 2.25
Diaz 4.33

Pretty close overall, Diaz marginally better on the goals scored but Deki quite a bit better on the assists.

To be honest I think it's one of those where at this point, both teams will feel they got the better player.

I think both clubs signed the right player. We needed someone to act as a foil for Son on the other side, capable of holding the ball under pressure as well as chipping in with goals. Liverpool need players that run constantly, and probably had a half an eye on replacing Salah.

Diaz is clearly a right-footed player that likes to play on the left to then cut in. Remind you of anyone? I think as good as he is, we'd have an issue with the fact that both him and Son's favoured position is that side.

If I had to choose one based on raw ability and whose ceiling is probably a little higher, I'd say Diaz. I can see him eventually taking over the Salah mantle. I think his numbers will definitely improve and go beyond Deki eventually.

Different types of players, think Diaz is probably pacier of the two but Kulu has a beautiful left foot on him.

Both teams definitely strengthened by the purchases🥴

Yeah, stat comparisons are pretty pointless if we’re going to be honest about it. It’s how each player fits into their respective teams, and both seem to very well at this early stage. Next season will be the proper time to assess it though, it can be a little misleading with January signings, both when it seems to be working out and vice versa.

Both players have come to the premiership and hit the ground running.

I love watching Kula and he’s very intelligent in how he plays.

Diaz has been good to watch and I’m sure Liverpool are glad they got him.

I think in time Deki has the tools to take over from Kane one day and lead the line.

Both players have been brilliant. Was gutted when we lost out on Diaz but can't blame him for choosing Pool.

Diaz needs to work on his composure in front of goals. So many times he will put the defender on his ass and then the finish is lacking whether he tries to blast it or curl it.

Both players have been brilliant for both clubs. We won't have got close in the quad attempt without Diaz and Kulu contributed very well to Spurs finishing 4th.

Kulusevski has been superb. Huge upgrade from Lucas. I imagine he'll get even better next season playing with a decent RWB who will create more space.

Considering Diaz was declared as the signing of the year by bin dippers, that makes Kulu look like the bargain of the year!

Both very good signings and fitted into their clubs and the league quickly.
Next season we're have a better idea though

Both top young talents

Diaz has been outstanding but could have had double figures easily with the chances he has had.

I fancy it to just click at some point and he'll start banging them in.

Think you got a player who you needed more than Diaz however, to play on the right. Diaz would have been a bit of a waste on the right.

Just do not understand the constant need to compare Spurs and Liverpool players. Totally different teams in totally different stages of their teams development.

Diaz probably more or a star but Kulu is the perfect complimentary piece we need

Diaz will win the quad on Saturday. We are happy with our boy and thank Levy for bringing the price down.

Does seem a bit strange that Spurs went for Diaz first over Kula when Kula seems to fit Spurs a lot better than Diaz probably would have done. Diaz would have been wasted on the right wing.

Diaz is perfect for us but was probably a bit of a blessing in disguise to miss out on him for Spurs.

Looking at those stats it is confusing that we all keep hearing anyone and everyone connected to Liverpool,
or in love with them ( Beeb & Sky ) telling us how "world class" Diaz is and "must be the signing of the century" yet at the same time passing the odd mumbled comments like "yeah Kulu is an ok player who has settled in well"

The joys of which team shirt you play in eh ?

Also Kulu is only 9 months older than Phil Foden. I was a bit shocked when I heard that myself and forgot he is 22. Looks older.

Thanks to Klopp for going for Diza, it made us opt for the front 3 that we have now. Kulu, Son and Kane. Perfect trio.
Kulu is properly fit for the PL and he will end up scoring 15-20 goals a season for us

Diza or Diaz, who cares

I’m not sure ‘joy’ is a word that should be in any of your posts….

I don’t know if there’s a ‘constant need’, I’ve seen little evidence of this.

However, we tried to sign Diaz, and only signed Kulusevski because we failed to land Diaz. So it’s interesting to see how the two compare.

Sorry if this upsets you.
