And unfortunately they’ll keep happening and we’ll keep saying the same thing.

But as long as law abiding Americans get to keep their guns it’s okay.

It’s not your country so no need to be concerned.

Now you all may commence with your hate of the US.

…and I’m still going to own my firearms.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The answer I expected from you. But I asked a genuine question. Didn't point a finger.

The fact you don't even show empathy for 14 murdered children and a teacher sums you up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your idea of empathy is me coming out saying “please ban guns”

It’s stupid. Just like you.

A cowardly POS did this. The gun did not. It’s being reported that he had a handgun and a rifle. So even if you ban the rifle, he still had a handgun.

So the obviously solution in your eyes is to ban all guns, but that’s simply not possible.

This is my state it happened in and we’re all angry about it. But we also know that we’re not giving up our firearms because you give an incentive to criminals.

I’m not a criminal. There’s no chance of me shooting someone unless my family and I are facing a threat.

So that’s it from me. You can continue hating my country and guns in general. Your time to waste, not mine.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
What? Read my OP again. Nowhere it said ban guns.

And you thinking that empathy means ban guns just means you really have no empathy.

My article didn't attack America nor you but you feel attacked anyway.

He a has a reputation to keep up, know more than yourself.

Apparently there was about 680 mass shootings in murica last year.

The numbers so far this year are already ridiculously high.

Take away the guns, what other weapons would these individuals use to kill mass amounts of people?

Is there something in the water in the US that causes these kids to turn into nut jobs?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They use the ‘these shooters have mental health issues’ argument but every country has people with mental health issues. Not every country has daily mass shootings however

Providing support for people with mental health issues sounds too much like communism as well.

But other countries probably have a better detection and support system.

Hence the question in my OP

Sadly too many Americans have accepted mass shootings as acceptable collateral as a result of their right to bear arms.

I cant seen American society changing anytime soon regardless of how many innocent lives are lost.

Gun laws are fcked in the US. Virtually non-existent.
True evil keeps gun laws from being put into effect.

85% of US citizens want gun reform. They want to
make it more than p1. ss easy to grab a gun and walk
into a school full of kids and kill them. Simple human
truth: killing kids in school is not normal. Unless you're
in the US where it's a God given right by extension.

Country is fcked up thanks to 15% of despicably
evil people with twisted interpretation so the 2nd
amendment. As tragic and preventable as today is,
wait a couple of weeks and we'll be onto the next one.

The sickest part is too many of these idiots
clutch a bible in one hand and an semi-automatic
weapon in the other, while hailing Jesus christ their
Lord and saviour. Sick, evil, twisted fcks.

Fck those who do not want gun reform that makes it
harder for sick people to own guns and kill innocents.

That 15% are the ones who hate America. Not us foreign people who would happily see gun reform that would save American lives.

In all honesty, nothing will change with America in regards to their gun policy.

Until the NRA is unable to influence parties, Republicans do not block every legislation to bring in change and Fox News is cancelled, America will stay on repeat.

Most of them are happy to have the population trimmed by the occasional mass shooting to make way for all the unwanted babies they’re going to force to be born.

Just seen on the news that 60% of the gums sold in the USA are done without background checks.

The sad reality is that to many Americans their right to own a gun is more important than the lives of the victims of gun crime.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd honestly respect them a lot more if they just came out and said it.

"Ah sure a bunch of kids died, but it's worth it to keep the freedom to own guns."

Funnily enough none of them ever do. Wonder why...

^^^^^

That's a stone cold fact. Sick. I was at my local car
wash couple of weeks back. A 30-something white
couple pulled in next to me to wash their car. They
both looked like they'd never seen a salad. And had
really angry faces. He sported a goatee, a knee brace,
and a holster that held a 9mm.

His other half also sported a knee brace, and a holster
carrying a revolver. I watched them both for a while.
They even washed their car angrily. Their heads were
on swivels. As if sensing a gun threat was near.

The car wash is in a safe, middle class neighborhood.
And it was the middle of the day. Not a threat in sight.
Yet these two model citizens, exercising their 2nd
amendment rights, looked like they were hoping
someone would try something. It's a surreal, twisted,
fcked up world over here.

I've lived in the US 25 years and not once felt the need
to carry a knife let alone a gun. Those that feel opposite to me have this shared dangerous psychosis.
of the paranoid few.

You or I or anyone here is not going to resolve the problem..

It's an American problem and it will never be resolved. There's 700 m guns in circulation in the US. The toothpaste is out of the tube when it's that amount.

Nothing that can be done.

The problem is that the Republicans have spread the lie the the Democrats are coming for their guns.

All the democrats want to do is change the legislation to make it harder for nut jobs to get guns.
