Absolutely agree. I was unable to watch it live due to being out to dinner with friends. All the men recorded the game on VCR's and no attempt was made to see how the game was going throughout the evening. When we got home my wife went to bed and I watched it through on record, then watched the last two or three minutes over and over to make sure it had really happened.
I remember v well watching this match on terrestrial TV (can't remember if it was BBC or ITV now) as a 15 yr old lad
funny stuff it was too
This was the greatest day of my life.
I wept like a baby that night 🥲

It was Brian Moore on ITV
It’s up for grabs now was the famous line
Was a great finish to the season
It was a Friday night so best thing was to go get drunk and avoid any Arsenal mates.
A nice history lesson though 👍
Best moment of my life bar none
I watched it live in my local, there were two scouser at the bar in front of the TV and I think I watched them more, they were gutted at the end. I red Fever Pitch and watched the film, I saw it more recently and I had forgotten Colin Firth played Hornby. I hated Liverpool then more than I do now.
Arsenal fans are allowed to reminisce and take trips down memory lane
I remember doing nights in a private hospital in London and had a shift that entailed monitoring a suicidal patties so was able to sit back as a neutral and enjoy what turned to an extraordinary game of football.
Can’t just remember of the top of my, did Liverpool just need a draw, do remember that Arsenal needed to win by 2 clear goals.
I remember this
The top 2 going at it the last game of the season, this is how it should be
Shiiiit result though
I ended up moving to Texas a few months later and decided didn’t have much access to English footy for about 11 years.
