Hail yeah

Ok next step let's sort this mess of a squad out

Not expecting this to be done in one window of course, this is going to be an ongoing project.

The first statement from the new board outlines their commitment to the club.

Here's a link from The 5th Stand, Chelsea FC's official app: Consortium led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital completes acquisition of Chelsea Football Club

Interestingly Todd had previously gone through due diligence on a bid in 2019 which shows this is not a whim, it also helped him on his bid this time around, further details vin this link

You lot didn’t deserve to be dragged through the mud like that.

I see Sandy is scratching his head, poor thing. He's never been able to get his head around finances.

Perhaps someone can tell him that the majority of the debt we had was accumulated pre FFP. We have created very little debt since FFP. The loan from Roman was always going to be covered in the sale of the club. The new owners have paid that off albeit Roman will not see it.

Still he has always struggled with the concept of the person owed the money not being in it for the money, bless him. I'd tell him myself, but have been trying to explain this to him for years so I doubt he'll understand now, also he filtered me.

Now with the sale of chelsea it’s good to know the war in Ukraine will come to an end.

Cheers Stringer. It has felt like an agenda against Chelsea FC but regardless it's over now and if the aim was to permanently destabilise the club then it's backfired spectacularly as we have very ambitious new owners with a very good track record in club ownership.

I can’t say I was ever worried personally but it’s still nice that it’s now all over and we can move forward again!!

I can honestly say I've never felt there was an agenda against us or any other ulterior motives nor did I ever doubt Romans words or the ultimate sale.

I am not happy with how it ended but I doubt that the government could have done anything less. They could have been a lot harsher. I do not believe Roman is on bed with Putin, that's media talk, almost 20 years ago they insinuated that he would be in trouble with Putin should he return to Russia at any point. The only thing I was not certain on was of we would get enough interest to generate the kind of money being talked about, and that we did.

Fantastic work all round in the end, a sad outcome die Roman but many will benefit from his generosity.

Tbf a Spurs fan having a hard time coming to terms with the fact an owner being in it for the success, or personal vanity if you wanna be clinical (probably a bit of both with Roman) and not wanting to r@pe the club for every penny it has is understandable. They've known no other life really.

Just not the innocent Romania people having their homes destroyed and many being killed eh ?

Still your football world is so much more important isn't it.

I’m suprised admin has allowed people like steveF constant leeway in trivialising what is going on in Eastern Europe to point score on a football forum.
