That would be a great signing!!!
Where would eriksen fit in contes system? I don’t think he has ever really liked creative midfielders, even eriksen when he first went to inter.
Conte likes to have creativity down the wings in the wingbacks
I do love eriksen though

Yeah I have the same concerns, everyone wants him back for good reason, but I can't see where he'd play in the team. And you're right, first half of his inter season he couldn't get a game, in fact there were reports at the time that he would leave because Conte didn't need / rate him.
I'd love to see it, but he wouldn't play as one of the two DM/CMs, and I don't think he'd start ahead of Son / Kulu because he isn't naturally a wide forward.
But who knows... maybe we need something different for certain games.

Off the bench or starting against teams who play a low block. 5 subs next season and CL. He will get plenty of minutes.
Hope they don't bring in too many over 30's on big wages and short contracts, we have to invest for the future too like after Conte, the next season

Conte isn't the most trusting of managers. When Eriksen first came in he couldn't get a game, and then it all changed in the second half of the season. Same for Perisic. Conte joined in May and by August he loaned him out to Bayern. Now he loves the guy. I think he has very specific tactical instructions and maybe it takes time for some players to adapt to that, a bit like Pep. Maybe he sometimes makes a judgement call too early. Does seem weird thought that a player like Perisic was once surplus to requirements and then became crucial to his plan. I think Skriniar went the same way too. He was close to leaving and then he became an absolute rock at the heart of their defence.
Erisken would be a sub. Bring him on to control games if we are losing possession but I don’t see him starting. Will he be happy with that at Spurs?

In the past we always sign for the future. At some point you have buy for the now. Perisic is the first signing who is over 30 year old we have made in ages.
If the Eriksens and Bales are available we should be all over them. They can hit the ground running for two seasons at least.
All of Paratici's signings before IP have been 25 or under so far anyway.

Yeah, in games where the opposition sit deep and with numbers, we have found it difficult to break the teams down, casing in point Burnley.
Eriksen would provide an extra dimension in those games.
Providing Wales qualify for the WC I wouldn't rule Bale out as, like Spence, he holds the home grown key that we've severely lacked in recent years and need to up our quota. He'd also get fit with us but wouldn't be run into the ground by playing every single week as he surely would do at Cardiff or Swansea as has been mooted.
I'm still shocked that at 32 he's contemplating retirement if Wales don't qualify. He scored nearly 20 goals for us in all comps last year. If he gets games he can still get the numbers. I think those years at Madrid have made him hate the game. That said, he's been a greedy bstard. He could have ripped up that contract and fallen back in love with the game but he clung on, even though his entire family will clearly never have to work again. It's pure greed.
I don't think Conte is the type for building a future team. He's more like build now for wining trophies.
What most of us want really.

They're not entirely separate. If you're winning trophies and qualifying for the CL now, you're more likely to be able to attract the best younger players anyway. Building for now allows us to reinvest more for tomorrow.
We lack a playmaker someone who can dictate the pace and provide creative spark.
---------
the system provides the creativity via the wingbacks, making that position the most important signings by a long way.
however Eriksen would be nice off the bench to control tempo of a game we are winning, or losing to provide some magic, or in a system change to a 3-5-2 or a 4-5-1 / 4-3-3
no brainer on a free
Perisic and eriksen are only good signings if the lack of fee allows spurs to sign some big signings in mf and defence.
Don't want content doing what he did at inter and sign loads of grandads. He is a demanding coach and seems to burn himself and his players out after a few years. If that's to change he will need some young legs in there with real quality. They areally great squad signings but I expect bigger targets next if spurs are to crack on.

You need a mixture which is exactly what's happening. Remember Kulu is 21, Bentancur 25. Eriksen is a no brainer. He's only just turned 30 and a man of his talents doesn't need the athleticism you lose as you get older. Perisic's numbers suggest he's not slowing down. His wages aren't even high.
In an era where we're desperate for trophies, I think it makes sense to bring in proven winners like him. From what I've heard he trains so, so hard as well which will surely rub off on the others.
Alan Hansen was always right. You never win anything with kids. United didn't either. For all the talk of the class of 92 they had Irwin, Bruce, Pallister, McClair, Cantona, Hughes and Schmeichel in that side.
Eriksen is a no brainier for me. Showed what a talent he still is with Brentford and after 9 or so months finniking around at Inter Conte finally worked out exactly how to use him and he was crucial for their run in so not sure about all the arguments on how he would fit into a Conte system.

Eriksen played under Conte and his system, ad won the title so this how he would fit into his system is bizarre.
I'd get Eriksen tbh. Knows us well, and would love to win something with us, deep down I am sure.
Perisic is an awesome signing, and gives you an experienced player who's won trophies alongside Kulu and Bentancur. Guys who have been there and done that. Eriksen now is part of that group of players.
We need two more, CB and a striker - assuming Eriksen joins us.
