Fond memories of beating you in the FA Cup final...the last time we won it
Hope your season goes well. We are after Jed Spence. Would you recommend him?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was there for that FA Cup of ‘91 when we were robbed - Gazza should have been sent off
I also have fond memories of beating you in the 92 League Cup Semi Final at your place with Roy Keane’s bullet header in Extra Time
Also a 1-4 battering of you when Roy and Collymore ran you ragged in ‘94 I believe
As for Djed Spence - nah, he totally rubbish, and a complete waste of money
Seriously, he’s a brilliant player and has a great future ahead - fantastic at going forward, can score goals and has lightning speed - at only 21, definitely a good investment - if you get him, he’ll be a fantastic addition to your squad
Looking forward to itπ
All the best. Apart from 27th of August and 11th of March
A classic club we’ll come back forest π³
Just need Derby County back, and the Premier league will be set, for all kinds of foolishness.
But yes welcome back.
Good to see Forest back!!
Hope you consolidate and get to stay for few more seasons!
Who are the exciting players from yoir club OP that we should watch out for?
Garner is class - not the finished product yet by any means, and still has a fairly lightweight frame, but he has great vision, exceptional delivery, and can score the odd goal too -
I’m not sure he’s ready for the first team at Utd yet, and really hoping we can either get him back on loan or even buy him - he’d be a regular starter in the Forest team, whereas, I’m not sure he’ll make that at Utd yet

Derby aren’t coming back to the Premier League anytime soon
Garner is but sometimes drifts out of games, returning to Old Trafford doesn't seem to do him any favours [ perhaps too many large ego's there?] so perhaps we get to buy him? We will have to wait & see.

Ok, look, season ain’t started, and you’re already stepping on thin ice.
Rockford Files is our lad. We need him back at some point, to kick MCTominay out.
He’s played his part for youse. But you with the big boys now. We done with the hand outs.
You’re taking Henderson away from us. That’s an important signing.
Let Garner come back home
Stringer, if Garner wants to go back to Utd and give it a go there - then all the best form the lad, I hope your new manager will want to encourage him and allow hi to flourish just like Steve Cooper did at Forest - it would be such a shame and waste for him to go back there and just sit on the bench - I really hope he gets given a chance
IMO has already better and more effective than McTominay and possibly others at Utd, but it will all depend how much patience your manager has and whether he’ll get the chance to impress there - I really hope he does
The issue with many of the ‘big’ clubs is that they want instant success, and unfortunately you can always get that when you’re bringing up and playing the younger players
Maybe, he may feel he has a better chance of first team football at Forest, but that will depend on whether Utd are willing to sell him - I would be very surprised but elated if they were
My Dad still thinks that Notts County are the only genuine team in Nottingham !

And that Stanley Matthews should start ahead of Raheem Sterling for England no doubt
...funny you should say that !
Welcome back, my third favorite team.

Fair enough
And if he was to just sit on the bench, I’d be livid, and I’d personally drive him back to Nottingham myself.
Preferably on another loan, with No stipulations.
Let him play against us, I’m all for it.
But have watched the kid since he went to Watford.
I like him a lot.
Also, just to add, when I say ‘you’re back with the big boys’, it’s where you belong.
See you lot on the battlefield!
Really looking forward to it Stringer - it’s been far too long
Just hope we can give a good account of ourselves - we’re taking nothing for granted, and just happy to be mixing with the elite once again
John Robertson one of my fave players back in the day a great left winger a joy to watch tbf
