I might be wrong but don't think you can have two loan players form the same parent club, so if Henderson is in that rules out Garner unless we are preparing a bid for him...?

Yes I've just read that over on the Athletic's comments!

Perhaps we're making an offer for Garner that is too good to turn down?

This Taiwo Awoniyi looks like he could be quite useful

He certainly does in those Youtube clips.

In other news Jayden Richardson has been sold to Aberdeen for an undisclosed fee.

A couple more have left, gone on loan, but none incoming as yet.

I'm still hopeful that Forest can sign Jimmy Garner, but we can't take two players on loan from the same club.

Listening to the Forest podcast Mr Marinakis intends to build a team to challenge in the Prem' and not just survive. That will involve not buying any duds, so fingers crossed.

I see Samba is training with Moussi in France. Also, Samba is posting pictures with his family all in Forest shirts.

Would it really surprise anyone if Samba isn't just winding up the media on Cooper's behalf? To get the Henderson deal over the line...

I wonder if we will get anyone by the weekend? The two Bundesliga lads and Henderson sound closest.

If Spurs aren’t willing to pay more than £10m for DJed, which is what is being reported, surely it would be worth us going in with an offer of £12-£15m, which is probably what he is worth. He’s basically money in the bank for the future, 21 years old, excellent player, English, ticks a lot of boxes. It would seem strange that Spurs can get that sort of talent for a knock down price, at least make them pay the going rate, even if we don’t get him. Things seem to be moving slowly at the WFCG, but patience and trust are essential, I’m confident SC and the team will get it right, without bankrupting us.

That could be due to his wage demands! he did have a reputation as a difficult customer before he came to Forest.
I was surprised that he didn't want to entertain a move to Forest, because he obviously fitted in & enjoyed his football.
Perhaps Mr 15% has been giving him poor advice?

According to Tails writing for the Athletic, Bro' want £20M for Spence and neither ourselves or Spurs fancy matching that valuation.
We have a eye on Issa Kabore a young R/B with Man' City.

We are not interested in Zinc who is being linked with a move to Olympiacos, so Watford don't see him as useful in the Championship.

Henderson is a done loan deal so I'm reading, however Forest are picking up the tab for all his wages.

This might indicate that a option to buy clause is included?

Yep, looks like we got the ‘OPTION to buy’, which was key, but paying around £100,000 per week wages in FULL, sounds crazy. Surely there were better deals to be done than that, however, with the clause added, i believe it still gives the option of a ‘loan’ deal for Garner. Striker Awoniyi, looks like its over the line also, with another deal to come. I wonder what will happen with Samba now, a real shame if it all turns sour, as he was a real fans favourite, mine too. Can’t see him sitting on the bench, it also makes you wonder if Horvath will be happy to warm the bench (sorry heated padded reclining seats, as they are these days),as he will want game time with the WC coming up.

According to SSN, we have NO option to buy, changes the deal completely, walk away and look else where, not worth £100K per week with no option, just like DJed we are enhancing another players reputation, because their own parent club doesn’t trust them. Plenty better deals to be had than this one, walk away. I don’t rate him that highly and think w Pope was a better option, but that was has now gone. Darlow anyone ??

Perhaps he is the best option still available? we don't know the full picture. His wages represent an overhead of approx' £0.52M if we're not paying a additional loan fee that's not so bad.

It may stop a further loan for Garner, or perhaps we can buy?

That’s £5.2m per year, don’t really see the value in that. It would also stop a Garner loan deal, other than with an obligation to buy, surely you’d be better off just signing him if he’s available.

That’s also assuming no loan fee involved, which would be unusual.

Apparently, Spurs cannot agree a fee with Boro for Spence and are prepared to walk away.

Spurs and Boro are apparently about £5-£6m apart in valuation, Spurs think £10m, Boro want at least £15m, which i think is a fair price, as that is roughly what we got for Cash about 3 years ago. Certainly better value than the deal we’ve agreed for Henderson, a one year stop gap at extortionate wages, i really do think we could have done much better, in terms of value for money, he also of course can’t play against his parent club. All said i trust in Cooper and his team and hope they can get enough quality players for the money they have left, plus of course we only have one loan signing left.

posted on 24/6/22

I'm beginning to doubt we have agreed a deal for Henderson, certainly not on the terms suggested.

I think the Athletic Man' U correspondent has been gaslighting us!

posted on 24/6/22

I think Henderson is a great deal. We wouldn’t have been able to sign anyone better with premiership experience, who also helped keep Man U & S Utd up. I’m not sure Pope would have chosen us over the richest club in the world either.

I challenge anyone to find a less informative website than NFFC, its absolutely hopeless and newsless (if that’s even a word), no new info ast all.

Looks like we’re getting closer to a strong starting XI:

*Henderson

Worrall
Cook ——> *Niakhate
McKenna

Laryea ——> *Williams
Yates
Cafu ——> ???
Colback ——> ???

Johnson
*Awoniyi
Mighten ——> *M.G. White

With pre-season starting late next week, I’d expect another 3-4 signings on top of Awoniyi and Henderson.

It would have been to see Awoniyi with the new sessions shirt, but guess what, its not been sorted yet, like the ticketing side of things, leaves a lot to be desired.

Assuming we complete some of the signings which are being ‘reported’ as almost there I think the team v Newcastle might look something like

Hendo

Worrall. Niakhate. McK.

Williams. Yates. Colback. Toffollo

MGW

Johnson. Akonwiyi
