Eh? Fack off. What else could it be? Anyway, sounds like there were a bunch more bets in Bitcoin the bookie stopped going through..

Erm, the person who actually gives out the yellow cards and is the only person who can guarantee the bet wins maybe.
Hopefully this will finally lift the lid on the corrupt officials led by Mike Riley. Wouldn't surprise me if a computer in Stockley Park is permanently logged into Sky Bet, given how bad refs are even with VAR.
Erm. If you actually watch it there's no way the ref couldn't give a yellow. It's almost 20 seconds to take a free kick on the halfway line while you're 4-1 up. Take your blinkers off.
I'm all for refs being corrupt but this is not a good case for it
You talk like it doesn't happen all the time without yellows I've seen players waste 40-45 seconds and not get booked.
Also, if Xhaka was deliberately trying to get booked in the last 10 minutes, why did he put in a foul that some argued was a sending off long before that? That would have ruined the bet. The ref, the innocent ref in your eyes, didn't even book him
The article states very clearly that neither Xhaka nor any Arsenal player is under suspicion, yet here you are telling me to take my blinkers off

How isn't it a good case? The yellow is being investigated and "there has never been any suggestion of any wrongdoing by Xhaka or any other Arsenal player."
Who exactly do you think is under suspicion
No one. It's a sham. You can't watch that incident and say it's not a blatant yellow. Ref or player. Doesn't matter.
Maybe that's who they're actually after - the betting syndicates that are getting to them. There's no point punishing one ref or exposing a popular player when they're not causing the problem anyway.
"The Times report that FA sources have stressed that there is no suggestion of wrongdoing by Granit Xhaka or any other Arsenal player as they investigate suspicious betting patterns."
This was at the time of the original investigation. And now they have repeated that. Yet you think Xhaka is guilty
And, at the same time, there has been no statement saying there is no suggestion of wrongdoing by Andre Marriner...
In fact, when the story broke the Athletic originally claimed the ref was not under suspicion, but with in an hour deleted that statement from the report.
Read between the lines!!
So you're saying you watched the incident and say it's not a blatant yellow?
Can you take a minute and think why the FA might want to protect the reputation of Premier League players?
Have they implicated the ref at all?
Yeah I'm leaning toward Xhaka fixing this one but it's not the real problem imo. Hopefully, the reason the FA are not implicating anyone is because their investigation is focused on the fixers.
Read between the lines? It's a nonsense man. I don't know why you're getting wound up. If Xhaka or the ref did it is secondary to how and why it's happening.
I have seen players take far longer and not get booked. And when the score is far closer than 4-1.
"There has never been any suggestion of any wrongdoing by Xhaka or any other Arsenal player." - what part of this statement suggests Xhaka did something wrong? It literally spells out the opposite.
They haven't implicated the ref - but they haven't stated there is no suggestion of wrongdoing by him. It was over a month until he got another PL game, so...
You think a player who was guilty of fixing would just be ignored?? Trippier was banned just for telling a mate he was off to Atletico.
Le Tissier was fixing spot bets for years. You can't be that naive to think it's not happening all the time
You don't even have to read between the lines to see Xhaka is completely innocent. It is literally stated.
Also I love how you take the FA statement as fact. It's sweet.
Yeah, imagine taking what the people investigating it say as fact, rather than just jump to a conclusion based on the fact you are a Spurs fan...
Nothing to see here says organisation that represents the sport.
If you're that lazy to think I'm that lazy we're done.
Anyway. You missed the best argument. Xhaka is much less likely than the ref to need the money involved in this kind of scheme. Either you're right and it was the ref, or he's being extorted.
Isn’t the issue here that the ref should have sent off Xhaka, didn’t, then booked him in the time period that the suspicious bets took place?
Xhaka’s yellow is blatant, but we’ve ample evidence of him being one of the most brainless footballers in the league. So it doesn’t mean he was the one fixing, and it would appear that the investigation doesn’t think so either seeing as he isn’t being investigated.
Really? Best I can tell from the Reddit detectives the only foul he did was on Raphinha about 30 minutes before, where he actually took the ball anyway.
I can’t remember the foul, but I remember all the Leeds fans crying about it. And loads of Arsenal fans have mentioned it as well.
Xhaka could easily / should definitely have already been booked in this game for a borderline red card foul - many Arsenal commentators voiced their frustrations (and bewilderment at how he ‘got away with it&rsquo at the time, as we’d been cruising when the incident occurred.
Therefore, if Xhaka were involved, or even aware of spot-fixing in this match, it would suggest he was doing his best to expose the corruption, rather than being party to it.
If anyone is involved it’ll have been the ref that day.
But as we all know that referees are definitely, definitely, definitely, probably not corrupt...
