If we win a PL or CL in a season where Njetiah has scored at least 10 goals then I will run 10 laps around the Emirates stadium naked.
I challenge Nketiah to get 20 PL goals next season
Arsenal are practically buying the league with current signings and new contracts, Torreira and Vieira the new Petit and Vieira, Nketiah the new Nketiah, Jesus and the other new Brazilian guy, it’s shaping up nicely but I’m knackered trying to keep up with it all and the science behind it all
The truth is Nketiah is average, he DOES have a good attitude on the pitch but that's it, everything else is mediocre...

Everything except his goal/minute and goals/start ratios 🤔
Eddie Nketiah is hell of a lot like Andy Cole for those who can think back to when he played. He is a hard worker and can sniff out a goal. What he can't do is link play outside the box or play slick passes for other runners. He does not have electric pace, dribbling of Henry. So Jesus would be the ideal player he could emulate and he can learn the rest as he develops. Don't understand why people are so down on him tbh.

He has played 59 Premier League games for Arsenal and scored 10 goals - even if you allow for substitute appearances that is not good. 🤷♂️
Averages better than a goal every 2 games in terms of goals/minute. That is good by any standards, even more so when most appearances have been off the bench.
Averages a goal every 1.5 starts. Again, very decent.
I challenge Eddie Nketiah to score 20 PL goals next season. Note PL goals. EL and Cup goals help but PL goals is the main thing.Hes taken the responsibility and now he has to deliver

For that kind of total he would need to be starting most premier league games. Do you think thats going to happen?

He won't get 15 PL goals. I doubt he will get 15 goals Ina ll competitions.
I get it, he is young, he is still learning but he does not pass the eye test (regardless of statistics). Henry, RvP, Adebayor...you could sense something, see something that said..they can be lethal. Eddie does not have that. For all his great attitude, I will be pleasantly surprised if he outscored Saka who is a winger.
FA Cup & League Cup games/goals don’t count, they are less important competitions where the quality of opposition & teams actually fielded is weaker. You have to do it in the Premier League & over time his performances in the main competition have been mediocre. His abilities have looked mediocre.
Will he improve ? I doubt it, but it’s possible, anything is possible, Yaya SoNoGoals may find a club willing to pay him, Nicklaus Bendtner might start scoring goals for fun, Pepe might justify his £75m contract !
The real question is what is LIKELY, & I don’t want mediocre Nketiah trying his “possibilities” at Arsenal’s expense.😐
I challenge Eddie Nketiah to score 20 PL goals next season.
======
So you expect a second choice striker to outscore what the likes of Kane, Ronaldo, Mane, Vardy and everyone except Salah and Son managed this season??
=======
For all his great attitude, I will be pleasantly surprised if he outscored Saka who is a winger.
====
The top 3 scorers were all "wingers", in fact only Kane, Vardy and Toney scored more than Saka the season just gone, whereas wingers/midfielders occupied 14 of the top 17 scorers.
======
FA Cup & League Cup games/goals don’t count,
======
He has only started 19 PL games and has 10 goals - better than 1 in 2 for a player who has been a 3rd/4th choice youngster most of that time.

So you’re saying in the other 40 PL games that he played where he didn’t start he didn’t score once(!) - or are you just ‘massaging’ the evidence ? 🙄
Look, I don’t dislike the guy, he has a good attitude on the pitch - it’s just that sitting in the North Bank he’s just not that good, & the data backs that up. It doesn’t matter how much you are rolling on the floor, the fact is in the League Cup & FA Cup the defences are usually not at the same standard. Walcott was good at scoring in the League Cup too…🙄
