He’ll bumble along for now. Tories will oust him in good time for the next election, and then blame him for their shortcomings initially. Then they hope that the electorate will forget their many failings and elect them back in.
I predict a Labour win next time round though, as the cost of living, Covid, and numerous scandals will be too much for the public to forget. Unless Labour somehow feck it up.

That's what I'm worried about, Labour messing this opportunity up

If a GE happens now Labour will win but it won’t be a majority I don’t think. They’ll reclaim the red wall but I think the SW will flip back to the Dems.

I’m unsure who to vote for. Won’t be the Tories, but living in Wales, I would like to vote for Plaid. If I do, I’m worried that a lack of votes for Labour will open the back door for the Cons.
The voting system needs serious change.

He will blame the brown people again and get elected

Boris Johnson won't resign. He has another 6 months until a VONC can be called unless they try to change the rules on that.

Unless his own party oust him, he will still be there for the election in 2024.

I’d put money on the Tories ousting him one way or another before the next GE.

Probably. There will definitely be other attempts.

Love how he conveniently facks off to Rwanda for the week

Somebody prominent said 2 months ago that Boris Johnson will not be prime Minister by the time the party conference comes around... this seems to be correct

We should use the Shamina Begum principle where we can make people stateless and remove his citizenship whilst he's there. Use his criminal record as an excuse and leave him stranded in Rwanda like his asylum seekers policy.

That’s the issue, Labour won’t feck it up….Starmer will also just bumble along and not take the opportunity - hea about as charismatic as a wet chip - with his ‘leadership’ at the next GE, Labpurvwill not win irrespective of who the Tories have leading them

I am a bit apolitical and certainly not a close follower of the shenanigans in Parliament.

But something struck me this morning as I watched the 2 by elections. Both Labour and the Lib Dems were calling for Boris to resign. Why?

If he is so inept, then surely they would want him to be leader in 2024. Deep down maybe they are scared the "greasy piglet" will pull a rabbit out of the hat!!

Or maybe they just don't want to see the country continue to be run into the dirt for another two years.

A new leader will probably be in place for the 2023 party conference season, so I suspect he will be ousted or tendered his resignation in the summer of next year.

This gives the new leader time to bed in for a likely 2024 May/June election.

Who that leader will be isn't obvious, in recent leadership contests for the Tories there has been a clear frontrunner, not this time.

This. They just want their own turn to do it.

How was the gig?

I dislike Johnson and his cronies with a passion and despair at the way dishonsty has been widely accepted as a norm now in Government and this break down in having a moral compass at the highest level of supposed law making legislators spills over into a fractured and depressed society.

I personally feel disenfranchised over who to give my vote to in the next general election as I did in the last one so in the end although I was very tempted to spoil my ballot paper and write, "no one trustworthy to vote for"
I put my X in the Green Party box but even they seem to be dodgy.

So just talking to friends family and work colleagues they also feel really let down and have lost all respect and trust for all politicians, especially pathological liar BJ and his band of incompetents and therefore I suspect no single party will gain full power in 2024 and a hung parliament will happen.
