Ronaldo leaking stories

All the noises earlier in the window were that he wanted to stay. So if (and it is an if) he says he wants to leave because or our incompetence in the transfer market, then I believe him tbh.

The man's a born winner and I can see why he'd be frustrated watching our rivals strengthen whilst we are amid a summer long pursue of De Jong, whilst refusing to attempt to sign other players until that saga plays out. Or so it would seem anyway.

As much as he's a shadow of the player he was losing him this summer would be a nightmare putting the squeeze on a budget which is already looking tight with the big fees being touted for Antony and De Jong.

Needing so many players in, i'm finding it hard to see how they can justify spending such big sums on those two now.

He obviously hasn't heard about our new midfield maestro Henrique Maguiradonna

Pro. He has high standards and expects the best.

Look he may well end up at bayern or somewhere but he isnt wrong. we are faffing about.

Weve got 3 days till pre season begins. we surely want players that are fully integrated by time we start the season?

Call me naive, but he did an interview not so long ago saying he was looking forward to working with the new manager and getting success back to the club (I think that was the gist).

I’d rather believe the words spoken by him in a real interview than probably another bullsh*t report…

But I’ll never be in the anti Ronaldo camp so…

Ronaldo is right here. Everyone is like don’t panic but we’re faffing about again.

Liverpool, City and Spurs have all strengthened already. We’re haggling over a few million for De Jong while not working on other targets it seems.

I'm not disagreeing as I don't have any facts, but how does it 'seem' we are not working on any other targets?

We could very well have some lined up ready to sign on the dotted line but are waiting for the FDJ deal first.

But what are we waiting for if that’s the case? We always seem to take longer than others in wrapping up deals. The Ronaldo deal shows we can do thing quickly when required but that was a once off.

We may well be taking a long time with transfers but you also have to factor in the fact United stories start earlier and get loads of clicks. Also, perhaps this time, we are negotiating better than we have in the past. With this in mind for a few windows transfers will take longer as teams think it's the same old United. I won't worry until the season starts.

Why’d selling clubs wait for us? They also need to replace said players. Ajax have added 20m onto Antony for example now. Us waiting is not helping the selling clubs also as they have to replace those players
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They don't have to but if the player has indicated he wants to join us then it's worth haggling IMO. If they then change their mind then it's perhaps best they don't come.

I think a problem is that there seems to be an assumption that by playing the long game, eventually that will force the price down. That will only be the case if Barca's need to sell is greater than our need of players in that position. Didn't Barca get significant new investment last week? And they just bid for Lewandowski, so I'm not sure they're as screwed financially as we'd like to think.

What could happen is we could chase him all window, miss out, then go on a desperate splurge in the dying embers of the window and end up with Telles, Diallo and Pellistri. That will really show the world that we're taking a more considered approach

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to stay at Manchester United this summer and will report back for pre-season training at the beginning of July, despite reports he is ready to quit the club.

Portuguese sports daily Record claim Ronaldo wants to leave after only one season back at Old Trafford as he fears that new boss Erik ten Hag does not have the right tools to compete for titles, and is frustrated with the club's transfer window so far.

However, the 37-year-old is expected to return for pre-season preparations once back from his summer holidays, which will be slightly extended due to his involvement with Portugal in their three opening Nations League fixtures in June.

The first players to report back at Carrington on Monday will be those who did not feature in international fixtures this month, while the rest will follow over the course of the following week.

Ten Hag confirmed during his introductory press conference at United that Ronaldo is part of his plans for the new season, and said he would contribute "goals" to his new-look side.

Quick backtracking in the media from the constant sh*t the keep writing

------------------------------------------------------------------------

90% of transfer gossip in the media is absolute nonsense. They don't have a clue and make a living off it because football fans love the drama of it all.

Until likes of Ornstein pipe up I don't even get remotely excited by players we're linked with.

Rooney did something similar let’s not forget, turns out he was right.

He is not part of the future of the club, so if he wants to leave, I thank him for his service and bid him adieu,

Can we have an option 3) whereby we don't give the comments any thought due to the fairly low probability they are genuine?

If I have to choose, obviously I'm going with my bitter 'get that immobile egomaniac out of my club' instincts.
