Quite funny how this "he chose us over you, so we are bigger" is now a thing.

Started in recent times by Liverpool ( of course ) who seemed to get a bee in their bonnet over Diaz being somehow literally escorted away from Spurs with the pen still in his hand and off to Liverpool, which in turn somehow made Liverpool much better than Spurs, almost like winning the so called "best club cup" which was added to their trophy records.

Now it appears Arsenal ( of all clubs, lol ) are trying the same pointless trick, saying they are such a big club because Raphinia ( do Spurs even need another winger ? ) may go to Arsenal, and that by some really weird reason, makes Arsenal bigger than Spurs.

Players sign for all sorts of reason, usually stupid wages, and your average fan that comers on here has absolutely no knowledge of what talks / approaches took place to get the player to sign.

The "he preferred us cup" does not exist. Honestly, it doesn't.

Oh and Arsenal fans, you are STILL playing Thursday nights, and any transfer won't change that, or that Spurs have been the better team for the last 6 years. You know, the league table never lies and all that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
😂😂😂
Im actually starting to think you believe the stuff you make up.

Spurs were after Diaz. Liverpool came in and didn't mess about and got it done. It's that simple. Liverpool are way bigger than Spurs and operate at a different level. Seems weird to say they invented a 'preferred us cup'. Every time a team beats another to a signing it'll feel like a victory but I don't buy the narrative you're trying to paint. Spurs aren't Liverpool rivals atm.

Surely if Liverpool fans were that petty they'd have boasted how Klopp turnes down the option to sign Bissouma or Philips? Players spurs and city seem glad to have signed. Why Liverpool are even in your thoughts when the article is about spurs and their clearest rival I've no idea 😂

I actually thought Spurs would be so far ahead of Arsenal this year but, Arsenal have to signed some players that'll clearly improve them, and it won't be so clear cut tbh. Bissouma is a good signing but Spence and Perisic are hardly going to set the league ablaze.

I'd wait til the window shuts til u make any more silly statements.

Oh good lord.

We were the first team to start having our games broadcast on radio and television.

The first football match ever broadcast on TV was a game between Arsenal and Arsenal reserves. That’s how massive the demand for our product was.

We literally popularised association football.

Liverpool haven’t done anything compared to what Arsenal have done.

Tbf I like spurs a lot and it's bit harsh to say all spurs fans are this deluded. Most are cool just get 5hit cos of a few of em on here talk absolute drivel 😂 saying that every fan base has a few. Just don't get why Liverpool receive so much hatred from some of the spurs guys when they are hardly direct competition.

Arsenal/spurs article and still Liverpool get mentioned.

Got a feeling Raphinha will still somehow end up at Barca even though they don’t have a pot to pizz in.

My thoughts on transfers remain the same, as long as Conte gets who he wants I don’t care what others do. The reality is, if Conte gets what he wants then Arsenal finish comfortably behind us - the levels of ability between the two managers is a faaacking chasm
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What if Conte leaves for a big club?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

As long as Arteta remains Arsenal manager we won’t have to worry about them.

We sacked our manager, then you lot bottled playing us for months, got obliterated when you did turn up and bottled 4th

He is a terrible manager and a good amount of your fans know it - no chance he balances Europe and a push for top 4 this season.

My concern is that this will be the season that your board see sense and sack him, if you get someone decent then we could be in trouble

Not sure why you’re laughing. Everything I said is true.

Arsenal’s insane popularity is what made association football catch fire.

Truth is, association football was really struggling until that point. It was considered too low-scoring and the American version was considered more entertaining.

If it wasn’t for Arsenal, chances are gridiron football would be the dominant sport in Europe today.

THFC will never be a "bigger" club than AFC. It doesn't matter who they buy, what manager they have or what position in the PL table.

Club has too many achievements, too much history and too much time in the ascendancy for Spurs to ever be the "bigger" club now. The best spurs fans can ever hope for is that some seasons they will finish above us because although we will always have the bigger club "It's a funny old game," means that we won't always have the best/best performing team.

You may as well throw all your medals in the bin for what the are worth, a team full of cheats including the likes of Pires, Henry, Sanchez etc and a board member sat on the board of the FA making sure results went in your favour

Very good player but he was always a luxury when you have Esr, Martinelli and Saka already developing into top players. There are still holes in the squad that were being ignored over this shiny thing.

posted on 29/6/22

Knowing arsenal they probably weren't even that interested in him it was just his manager spouting nonsense.
