Before social media and phones. As good as they are, its spoiled society. When I watch films like Jaws, Terminator and other films of that era,.its so refreshing not seeing people posting tik tok videos or sitting indoors streaming on twitch. No career pressure back then, no need to have to justify your lifestyle choices to peers or yourself.
Before 2003 when Britain didn’t illegally invade my parents home country.
And I would disagree the world changed for the worse in 2005, it was 9/11 that really changed the world and not for the better.
Just before lunchtime on a Sunday.
00's were pretty good, but we had our cake and ate it. I was in Australia for most of the 2007 housing crisis, so was entirely unaffected, in fact I knew very little of it.
60's have always intrigued me and life was pretty good in the 90's.
World has been a sh!t show since 2012/13. But maybe that's just because I got to an age where I took more responsibility on in my life.
But, I would use my time machine to go back to the 90s. Everything's kind of gone wrong since then. Maybe the Millennium Bug was more of a problem than people appreciated.

Dammit, I was all over that.
From a nostalgic point of view, the early-late 80's then skip to mid late 90's.
i you want to sit around like mold there's no better time than the present.
if you are more adventurous and free the 60's and 70's were the best time to be alive. being born around 1952 0r thereabouts is the perfect time.
For me it would be my twenties. I was at my peak in the sports I played, not tied to any one woman and spent it in mostly in London and Düsseldorf.
How old are you Robb,I'd say the best time to be alive was the day before you were born.

So the 1930s then?
Im always reminded of this line from the brilliant David Thewliss movie ‘Naked’..
“Have you ever thought, right, but you don't know, but you may have already lived the happiest day in your whole fackin' life and all you have left to look forward to is fackin' sickness and purgatory?”
Depressing but probably true.

I set myself up for that.
It was the 80,s though.
Present is the best for me.
Id much rather be a youth of today than a youth of when I was younger.
and if its a question of living in that era as the age you are of now, People forget how far we have come since even the 90's

We might well have peaked.....the 90's, you could argue early 00's too.
Obviously biased, as I was a teen in the 90's and early 00's
But we didn't have it tough (like our parents always say about their childhood) we were lucky. Great music, music had it all. It was like the 60's onwards had it's finale, dance, indie, rock, rap, everything.
Great films, cheap holidays. Technology hadn't completely taken over, but their was enough to keep you busy on a rainy day.
