Poor final though. Women's tennis is sadly just dull now. It needs fierce rivalries and personalities.
BBC very subdued....not the result they wanted

compared to the men's game it's always been gash
yes needs the evert v navritalova type of match ups, that go on for a decade or so.....
imagine if she waves a Russian flag, or has a "Z" on her t-shirt
Destruction. Womens tennis is just unpredictable at the moment. I like it.

For starters it just needs a player who can sustain a bit of consistent success. That would help.

It’s a reverse Rocky 4 moment, ‘ If I can change, We can all change’.
Or she might say..’If she dies, she dies’ ‘I do this for ME!!!’

I think that makes it worse. It needs players who can keep winning and generate rivalries with other players who can keep winning. That's what would bring more interest to it.

There isn’t a standout, like Serena or Venus.
But the way Rybakina played, there ain’t many that can keep up with that. She’s got power.
But more than anything, it’s her temperament.
She’s cold. Not phased one bit. Or does well to hide it.
Coco Guaff and Raducanu could be the next big things in the women game

Whoever it is, they need to show more dominance than what we're used to in women's tennis these days. We had Serena for a good while but ultimately nobody really matched up to her. We had players like Sharapova who should have been more but underachieved.
The bad news is that the men's game could go this way too if there is nobody to step up and fill the shoes of Nadal/Djok/Fed.
There’s always a generational talent that comes through, But I don’t see it as a bad thing to have competition where the glory is spread around.
But they will burst through. I mean, right now, I’d Medvedev is a big front runner to take the mantle for the next 5 years in the mens.

Swiatek is the one most likely to dominate the women's game imo
That's ok if it's spread around by players who consistently win, but if it's players who come and go very quickly or have very intermittent success, then they don't end up making a name for themselves. That's what I'd like to see personally, successful players to draw in the viewers and make it exciting when there are rivalries between them, like what we've had with Fed/Nadal and Djok for the last 10-15 years.

Swiatek for sure, is a top player. Don’t know about dominate. It’s her time at the moment. But, I do feel it’s anyones game.
Plus they have their favourite surfaces, styles make fights and all that.

Fun fact - Novax hasn’t even ever taken a set off Kyrgios let alone beaten him. It’s coming home 🥳
