Adams has much better recovery pace than Phillips. Think he's the ideal player to go alongside Roca in the midfield.
Sinisterra is very good. Would have preferred Gakpo or Madueke, but can understand that they might be out of our reach right now. bag of tricks, pace to burn, but applies it well, which is more than can be said for some players that we have. Hopefully the slightly lower fee will allow us to add a quality striker, as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeh adams is seriously quick. Lacks the physicality of kp though. Camara would have been a bit more of a like for like.
My slight concern with a roca/Adams axis is their physicality for the league, but hey
I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
Surely we'll get both, or if not, someone like Lewis OBrien ? We needed KP cover and yet we sold him, so surely we need 2 DM's now? Imagine if Adams gets injured or takes a while to adapt ...... back to 0 DM's
Don't see how we get both. They will both want to play. We aren't in a position to sign either as second choice. Forshaw will be second choice holding midfielder next season.
Agree with Lubo - Think we will go for a striker now and thats probably us done unless we also sign a back up keeper too.
I think the DM position will be different to when Bielsa was here where we heavily reliant on KP. Forshaw and Klich will still be used as back ups.
Forshaw as second choice lol
Got this about an hour ago, Kicker again!..

Makes the Leeds site seem very slow!.
It says Adams going to his foster father Marsch, it seems Marsch has a lot off foster kids at Red Bull!.

Perfectly adequate squad player. Do you think we are in a position to have international back-ups? Any midfielder that we brought in to be second choice would be about Forshaw's standard.
I don't see a problem with Forshaw, when ever he was called upon he did what had to be done and more often then not well!..

Forshaw is seriously injury prone. Tyler Adams will pretty much have to stay fully fit for 38 games next season or we'll end up with no holding midfielders at some point. Is Forshaw even in training or has he recovered from his injury that ended his season?

And obviously in an ideal world Adams will stay fit. Forshaw is an insurance player, who will hopefully get injured less if he has less minutes thrust on him as he did last season instantly off the back of his injury.
Then you have Bate and the new lad who will want to push for minutes, as well as Koch, who I suspect Marsch will still use in CM at some point this season.
Just think we have to accept that the squad won't be ideal because of where we are as a club, and needs to be improved incrementally. If we improve this season then next we can look at another CM to strengthen the depth.
I might be wrong but I think Bamford is doubtful for pre season, I think that should be a bigger worry!..

He trained last week, because he scored in a behind closed doors friendly.
I read something yesterday that said he was doubtful, so, seems another fake news thing!.
Odd because I've just looked and can't find it anymore!.
Yeah we beat Stoke 1-0 behind closed doors and Bamford scored and Roca played as well apparently.
I think Shaun wants to change the whole squad
Having forshaw fit is like having a new signing
Seriously forshaw is fine as a squad player in principle but he just can’t stay fit for any length of time.
I’m happy enough with the transfer business done to date, but I have hopefully incorrect reservations about roca ‘s suitability for the pl so would love another defensive minded midfielder, but I realise it was always going to be camara or Adams not both. I don’t want to see koch playing there again.
I have an uneasy feeling (hopefully unfounded ) that Camara ends up somewhere like Brighton/Crystal Palace, Villa,West Ham and ends up being a great signing for them and we end up with Adams as a bit of Jesse/Red Bull love in type player who ends up being not as good. It just has that kind of feel to it. Please let me be wrong Leeds.

i hope your wrong rob. the last bit of news i read it said we are still in for camara. i hope we get him.
we'll be deep in midfield for a change.
Camara would've been my preferred choice. But Adams is no mug. And as mont says, we may still be in for MC.
Sinisterra is the first player to come in who makes me feel excited. Not saying I don't like the others, but this player looks like class. The fact that he can play on the right or the left and has an eye for goal is a real bonus. We have to bear in mind that his goals came in a much weaker league, but he looks like someone who will score wherever he goes.
A striker to keep PB on his toes and a left back would be enough for me, preferably with Premier League experience.
Looks like sinisterra is done deal now https://twitter.com/fabrizioromano/status/1544456709946605573?s=21&t=vZ-b2rGzq3gDTFFLcXstuQ
He certainly looks an exciting player but my concern is we will be selling another star player to balance the books as we look to also be bringing in Tyler Adams and a £30million striker and possibly another striker.
The money we've spent so far plus on at least 2 more new players, even with the KP and Raphina sales our net spend will be around £30million. I reckon with another big signing before the end of the window our net spend will be at least £50million.
Also having shelled out on all those new pricey players you would expect most of them to be starting so the likes of Rodrigo, James, Harrison, Bamford and Foreshaw are not going to be happy on the bench so I expect at least one of them to be leaving.
If Raphinha goes it look like it will be a net spend of around £25m.
If Raphiinha ends up staying I expect the club will have to consider selling Harrison, in which case he net spend will be more like £50m as he won't attract as high a transfer fee.
In either case the wage budget will have been increased significantly. As it will be 6 first team wages instead of 2.
This will obviously reduce the amount of money available for transfer spending. And is the one counter argument to a bigger squad. I think we are unanimous in thinking that a bigger squad is necessary after last season though.
I'm including Adams, Sinisterra and CDK/ or an alternative in this equation.
At the moment it appears we are the highest bidder for CDK and the only club to have an offer accepted. But personal terms look unlikely to be agreed currently.
