i think the issue is quite obvious tbh, rangers are being silly allowing him to leave for a fifth of what fans think he is worth just because they are so flush right now.

We wouldn’t have got him without the clause, he’d have likely ended up at a club he rejected instead, a club in Germany/France or Celtic

Got him for very little and selling him on for a deal worth 10m in his last year of contract is good, especially after winning a league and helping us get to a European final along the way
