Colak confirmed, hopefully he scores a bucketful. Straight replacement for Itten I guess.
Point of minor annoyance though - it really bugs me when the press describe players as "[country] international" when they're barely involved with their national team. Colak is 28 and has played 3 times for Croatia ffs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Played for Croatia twice just last year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
International for the world cup finalists signs on as 3rd choice for the Europa finalists.
Facts
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Full glitter mode
Dundee Utd sign Steven Fletcher. Could be a good signing I reckon.
I could have replaced Itten but no kvnt phoned me.
Tom Lawrence joining Rangers.
Aribo replacement on a free I believe. Scorer of great goals
Good for them - shows spirit.
Replacing a midfielder with a striker.
SF to the Arabs is a good 'un.
They might surprise a few next season including themselves

If true then that's a nice signing. I hope he doesn't block Lowry from getting games though
Lawrence seems like he could play left right or centre, so ideal Aribo replacement.
Would ideally still like to see a rw come in. Lowry might struggle if we do bring in a rw as well as Lawrence.
Can only really see us going for more of an attacking cm or rw, unless we sell anyone.

Well known fact he keeps a ton of Celtic gear in his car boot so he can make quick getaways from training to CP.
The three players I would have said we needed were a CF, a RW and a goal scoring midfielder.
Lawrence certainly looks like he knows where the goal is and can certainly hit them from outside the box. So he looks promising.
Only really a RW required now I would say, then it’s really just replacement ms for anyone else that goes.
Roofe injured again.
Good player but this is exactly why we got him for £3.5m. Can’t string 10 games together.
Could get rid but would struggle for takers. Shame as he is an excellent player in those 3 or 4 games between injuries when he gets up to speed.
Need a creative midfielder and have done for ages.
Jack and lundstram bring a bit of bite to the midfield, you would think kamara should be the creative one, if not what does he do.
In those tight games when we are inclined to drop silly points lawrence might make a big difference.
He is willing to have a go from distance and a good percentage hit the target, something we lack.

At home I’m not really sure you need both Jack and Lundstram, and Jack will always need to be managed so he doesn’t get injured. Would rather Kamara next to Lundstram at home in a lot of games.
Think Sands will have a much bigger role this season. Hoping that Davis and Arfield are kept as reserves and got experience around the squad.

Agree with that. Now have Kamara, Hagi, Lowry and Lawrence that can play that attacking midfield role. A proper rw would help whoever is the attacking mid massively. Someone like Kent on the other side would also help Kent given how he gets doubled up on.
Still a good few like Simpson, Katic I’d like to see leave and free up some cash but can’t imagine many takers.
Kamara can play an attacking role?
Cant gets a nose bleed when he gets near the box. He's best in the middle keeping the ball ticking over and laying it off to progressive players.
We need a genuine chance creater from deep, a young Davis type.
Think Sands will have a much bigger role this season.

Gio is defo trying to develop that side of his game. Gerrard used him as holding midfielder whos job was to plug the gaps made when our fullbacks bombed forward.
Gio wants to use him futher forward im assuming cos he sees how comfortable on he ball he is.
He was defo better suited i the way Gerrard use him. He does tend to play more advanced for Finland however.

He’s played there a few times under Gio.
Not sure if you missed the games in Europe he did pretty well in a more attacking cm role…He’s obviously not as attacking as the other three but having different styles of players for different position is very important for mixing it up

The more attacking of the two sitters.
He cannot play as an attacking midfielder like Hagi, Lowry and Lawrence.

Aye that’s where I said I’d prefer to see him play…
He’s obviously still an option in that attacking mid position in certain games. I mean he’s been used their already in bigger games and it helped get us to a European final so he can play there and Gio obv sees that and made it work And that was without a striker!
