Is it not a denial of human rite of women if they feel uncumfartuble about transgender using there terlets unless they actually attacked n not perp prosicute?
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The solution is obviously creating a space for trans women and the progressive women that want to compete with trannswomen or share bathrooms and changing rooms with them. *without taking away women only spaces
I always wonder why there isn't a will for these spaces cos we all know if the will is there govt and businesses will make it happen

List an extreme view of mine, any will do. Genuinely interested to see this one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You're one of the most far left people on here.
What do you say to the swimming authorities banning trans in women's categories?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I asked you to list something, not digress. If you can't that's fine, I can't say I am surprised.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You take the far left position on every topic, which is obviously not mainstream. This is what I remember about you. Your feminist views are weird, so seem to think they're superior.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just list them bud. As said, it's fine if you can't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I just stated your feminist views. Add to that your trans views on here, and probably other views which go along with the activists on social media which you apparently don't follow.
I'll mention more as they crop up on here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you can't, which really is fine.
Sometimes it's just best to hold your hands up and say you got it wrong.
The old 606 used to have a set of guidance points and one of them was, to paraphrase, to not chat sh!t because if you can't back it up you look a bit silly.

Where do we draw the line indeed.
So we should have women only buses should we?
Women get attacked on public TRANSport all the time and yet I have never heard of this argument before really. But now it's a big deal and one of the most insane things in the world right now apparently.
Because if we leave that door unlocked we're basically asking for them to get raped in public (unless one of the men on here who instinctively can sense danger because they're a man foils it.)
I did actually use the womens toilets at work the other day. No rapes reported.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Men in women's changing rooms—happy with that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolutely. Why wouldn't I be, it'd be all cubicle anyway.
Put an advisor notes on and if people don't want to use them then they don't. Job done.
What are you pretending the issue is again? Safety wasn't it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not all are cubicle, as you know but of course it doesn't fit your agenda.
Also don't you think it's pathetic being a puppet to loonies on twitter or whatever? You go to real lengths to suck up to that mob who are really a minority, but they like to shout a lot.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't have an agenda and rarely if ever use twitter. You asked me whether I would be happy and I stated some context for me being fine with it. I rarely use twitter and am simply just not a person who gets outraged by things that don't affect me.
I'm the father of a teenage daughter and she doesn't give a sh!t as far as I am aware.
Are you always this weird.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Calling me weird when you have some of the most extreme views on here 😄
And you do get outraged by people who don't share your views. Do our views affect you?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I honestly wouldn’t bother arguing with these lots. They are so far into this ideology that completely contradicts itself, lacks morals and principles, where you make rules as you please, when you give them a logical answer or disagree they’ll just label you, insult you, threaten you over the internet or whatever, because if you disagree, you’re a bigot transphope etc. Freedom of speech only when it suits their agenda. You can’t disagree, you have to accept it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, there's no reasoning with most of them, but I sometimes get sucked in again. It's a bit of a challenge figuring out how to interact with people who actively promote entitlement 'rights' over fundamental human rights.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Imagine thinking you support fundamental human rights by denying those very rights to trans people. Seems like you don't actually care about human rights at all.
Funny that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's basic universal rights, then there's newly invented rights which contradicts those basics rights. Good luck with that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I see. Extending universal human rights to trans people makes them become invented rights somehow. Says a lot about whether you consider trans people human.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright, I'll be really fair and take it back.
But the next time you say anything extreme I'll call out out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I mean, given you literally said above that feminist views (ie that women should be treated equally) and trans views (trams people should be treated equally) are extreme, I don't think you are in any position to judge what is extreme.
A general point: There has been a lot of talk about “pandering to the wants/feelings” of trans people (and their allies, I guess) on this thread.
But their argument and their campaigning and this debate isn’t fundamentally about wants and feelings. People aren’t busy fighting to hang on to what are largely *existing* (if not specifically protected in law in certain cases) privileges based solely on their wants/feelings.
The appropriate language is rights and protections, as welshpoolfan has touched on above.
The aim isn’t to try somehow to satisfy everyone; it’s to ensure that everybody has the same rights under the law, whilst ensuring that everybody is adequately protected.
The law should (and common law often does) also consider people’s feelings. That’s probably what most politics is ultimately about in modern liberal democratic societies. But rights and protections come first; and we cannot allow those to be challenged by thoughts and feelings.
On the 17% of women (caveated however people want) who feel uncomfortable sharing public bathroom space with trans women: we have to listen to them; and understand why they feel as they do. They have a right to be heard, and if we listen, there are more than likely things that the authorities can do, and we can do collectively as a society, to ease their concerns. One, in my mind, would be to stop pointing to and sharing tabloid articles/editorials scaremongering about the statistically non-existent threat to via women that trans women pose, and boycotting outlets that push hate-driven agendas.
But ultimately - and sadly, because *ideally* we find solutions that satisfy everyone (not always easy, not always possible) - the feelings of anyone on the matter cannot be allowed to infringe on those basics rights and protections.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Trans people also want to be accepted as women or men. This is the real issue here, many just wondering accept them as a different gender or seeex. It’s why the question of trans toilets is a stupid one. A trans women doesn’t want to be defined as one and have to use a trans only space to go for a shiiiit, they want society to accept them as women and therefore using women’s toilets is a right they are fighting for.
n the 17% of women (caveated however people want) who feel uncomfortable sharing public bathroom space with trans women: we have to listen to them; and understand why they feel as they do. ----------------------------
So allow TW into women only spaces because their feelings are important.
But lets talk to women who feel uncomfortable with biological men using women only spaces. By talking to them, we can help them we can find out how to help them get over those feelings. Got it.
That is definitely not PANDERING to TW.

Calling me weird when you have some of the most extreme views on here
===============

So allow TW into women only spaces because their feelings are important.
But lets talk to women who feel uncomfortable with biological men using women only spaces. By talking to them, we can help them we can find out how to help them get over those feelings. Got it.
That is definitely not PANDERING to TW.
