Your study is reductionist.

This study presents findings from matched pairs analyses of localities in Massachusetts with and without gender identity inclusive public accommodation nondiscrimination ordinances.

https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s13178-018-0335-z

The study is not valid across cultures. It’s sample size is not that big and The sample cannot be extrapolated across all nations and peoples. So in the context of the world it’s irrelevant

----------------------------------------------------------------------
OK

You could counter it by providing the list of examples I asked for of trans women assaulting cis women in public bathrooms.

Where are the examples?

If you’d like to counter the US study, you could present a conflicting study, or provide a list of attacks in the US.

Please otherwise feel free to present conflicting evidence from anywhere else in the world demonstrating why the US data should be considered irrelevant. A study or list of attacks elsewhere in the world?

I don’t need to do anything. The study you posted is one of its kind, has a sample size that is small, is not cross cultural etc etc. it can’t be extrapolated beyond its own limitations. It’s a weak study and is certainly not representative of all women across the globe.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve provided some evidence that self-identifying trans women are no threat to women in public bathrooms.

- You’ve provided ZERO evidence that they are, failing to cite a single case
- Women say they don’t feel unsafe and that trans women aren’t a threat
- A majority of feminists believe trans women should be able to use women’s bathrooms

Beyond this boogeyman-invoking fairytale threat that conservative men have conjured (out of nothing but their fear of loss of privilege), there is actually a very serious related point here: societies around the globe need to do far, far more to protect women from violence and sexxual abuse.

At home, the most recent data from the ONS shows that around 60% of the women murdered in England or Wales knew their suspected killer, and a third of suspects were a current or former partner.

This is the most common relationship between victim and attacker where one exists, and this relationship is at least as strong in cases of sexxual abuse.

Globally. according to the UN, of those who have been in a relationship, ALMOST A QUARTER OF GIRLS WORLDWIDE aged 15–19 (24 per cent) have experienced physical and/or sexual violence from an intimate partner or husband. This is nothing short of a failure of humanity.

And that’s where we need to start, and get serious: By strengthening protections where we know, empirically, that threats actually exist.

Women need channels through which they can seek support; they need shelters, counselling and medical support; they need the police and courts systems to prioritise and prosecute carefully and rigorously their cases; they need laws with appropriate deterrents and punishments for sexxual abuse and domestic violence; they need people to LISTEN TO and BELIEVE their claims; and as much as anything, they need societal change that sees the discrimination, repression and exploitation of women consigned to the waste bin.

Isn’t it depressing that you’ve presented a very compelling and vastly intelligent response which is what the world needs more of yet some people will skim read it and then brush you off with ‘woke brigade’ and then keep on living in blind ignorance…?

Robb

According to a few posters on here, people supporting trans women using women’s bathrooms are “ultra woke” and “far left”, which I find a little strange, as the majority of the UK population, men and women alike, agree with the suggestion.

https://yougov.co.uk/topics/politics/articles-reports/2020/07/16/where-does-british-public-stand-transgender-rights

Is the majority of the UK population “ultra woke” and “far left” ?

Maybe people voted Conservative, Labour and Lib Dem only because the UltraWoke Communist Party has yet to be established? Some smart cookie should do so, quick smart, because if this is such a pivotal political issue and the majority of people in the UK support the position, they’d surely win a strong mandate.

Back in reality, each of the major political parties has no interest in acting to prevent trans women from using women’s public bathrooms. That may be because the position isn’t, indeed, “ultra woke” and is, instead, sensible, fair, dignified and empirically perfectly safe.

Having the instinct to protect women and children mean men generally see potential dangers.
===========

That'll be why all the men are the attackers then, what with the instinct to protect.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ALL MEN ARE THE ATTACKERS?
Does that include you your dad and everyman you know?

This my friends is what happens when some men (sorry if i incorrectly assumed you are one) get brainwashed by feminist agenda. The emphatise so much with the feminist cause that they don't stop to think about the bs they are saying.

i will help you out tho. Some men attack but majority of men protect. If not women will be getting attacked in broad day light.

Good men realise that bad men can attack women and their instinct is to stop it or prevent it from being possible.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Men are physically stronger, so they will either protect or take advantage of women. The feminists have spent decades trying to emasculate men and remove the concept of chivalry. In doing so, they have probably inadvertently created more predators.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Women creating their own attackers is the most incel thing I’ve ever seen on here. I’d hate to speak on behalf of women, but they don’t need to be ‘protected’ by you.

It seems that once again an article has compelled the mysoginyst brigade to out themselves in hilarious fashion.

Thanks for providing the research Rosso. It's amazing that nobody who is convinced on the other side has the capacity of presenting a shred of evidence to support their position.

They do have evidence. All they have to do is say ‘woke’ and that apparently invalidates the other argument

Tha bathroom thing is such a non issue and it's remarkable so many people cling on to it. This insane idea that there's tons of s3x offenders out there who all just so happen to be transgender, just waiting to use public bathrooms to enact their crimes.

How would you even police it anyway? It seems to be held in this backward belief that a transgender woman is a 50 year old cauliflower faced builder in a wig.

I guarantee you've all walked past multiple transgender people in your life and had absolutely no clue.

posted on 10/7/22

It's also pretty easy for a non-transgender person to walk into a bathroom and try and assault whoever they want.

There are some laughable comments on this thread. This whole 'oh, we're saying it to protect women' thing is utter nonsense. You're saying because you want something to complain about and for some reason you feel good about calling other people 'woke' and seeing yourself as someone who doesn't fall in line with the majority way of thinking.

But really, the reason why it's the majority way of thinking is because most people really don't give a shīt about utterly irrelevant things that don't affect anyone's life in anyway. Really, you people should try it.

It's kinda fascinating why such non issues like these cause a certain type of person (usually incels) so much trouble.

Surely there's something else they could put their energy into?

It all comes from the same place as homophobia. They would prefer it if people kept their sexuality to themselves because they’re scared of what they don’t understand and it makes them angry.

There was also an era of ‘I don’t want to share a bathroom with g@ys’. This is no different. Apart from they’re now telling women who they don’t want to share a bathroom with.
