Here we go!!

Everyone here knows my thoughts on Martial and how much high hopes I had for this fella, but surprise surprise after a friendly against a dud Liverpool side, you have delivered a stinker of an article.

Surely if all of attackers aren’t good enough then surely we would score less without Ronaldo under any manager?

That level is still way above Martial. Martial was a major flop for Sevilla. He’s been dross for us for ages. He’s not up to it. Also you need more than one striker as martial is also injury prone.

Shut up you buffoon.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
What has he said that makes him a buffoon though, vc? He is stating facts Martial flopped at Sevilla. I mean they did not want to keep him and now we are talking about Martial leading our line

Chin - I personally don’t care about pre season. It’s just games for fitness means nothing. Van gaal had a great pre season meant nothing
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Again you are displaying an incredible aptitude for buffoonery. No one is taking todays game as a benchmark.

Some of us were looking at it to see if we could see anything positive we could take away from it.

And some of us were sadly looking at it to see if it could improve our misery to beyond Samaritan help.

Scholay - they are beyond deluded. Martial is 27 soon he’s never gonna be elite
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who’s saying he is elite? Ronaldo is no longer elite either.

Martial has always been a good footballer. If he’s fit and motivated, he can still be a real asset to us, regardless of what’s gone before and what happened at Sevilla.

That said, I don’t know if we could expect Martial to just step in for Ronaldo. I’d at least want him to have some proper competition if we sold Ronaldo.

The process - if the players down tools again then yes they will score less. Let’s see after 5 games if they decide to throw ten hag under the bus. Last season they literally stopped playing. Martial scored like 1 goal for us. Even for him that bad
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Take my wager then. How many minutes did Martial get last season? He was afforded the luxury of keeping his place after 3 months of rubbish form.

Look we all love CR7. And he’s doing his best to beat Father Time. But he will eventually lose out.
So ok, take the hypothetical out of it.
Asking me whether to go with Martial or CR7 right now, with everything that’s happened and everything else we know about the both of them.

It’s Martial. I’m gonna take the risk on a player 12 years younger and faster. Who might actually enjoy Ten Hags system of play.
I don’t expect at almost 38 yrs old, for CR7 to be running around like that. An ideal Sub for late on, definitely.
But if he decides to go, then Let CR7 ride off if he wants to. Wish him nothing but the best.

I would not expect someone as terminally thick as you to understand it.

As the OP explained , he totally missed the point. One day you are going to have to take down your Ronaldo poster and stop wearing your Ronaldo PJ’s.

As for talking about Martial leading the line, did you miss the OP’s caveat? My guess is yes of course you did.

If Ronaldo leaves so be it but we’re short up front and need a replacement , Martial what witchcraft is this a mix of total laziness, cr@p body language and a general miserable looking tw@t, it’s a no from me

Process the difference is ronaldo has been elite and knows what it is like to win and be elite. What’s martial done? He’s achieved nothing and been a nobody. He’s reject and flop at both Man Utd and Sevilla. He’s been dreadful for France and is an embarrassment. Yet he should lead the attack 😂 I think the issue is we have different goals. My goal is to see united win things and be an elite side. Your goal is for us to be mid table and have one in 10 good games?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We won’t win things and be elite with Ronaldo leading the line. It’s unlikely we will with Martial and I’ve once said he’s the future but as a team I bet we’ll be better with him than Ronaldo.

It’s crazy how some can’t see how bad martial is.

…..

Likewise with Ronaldo, who is only going to get worse. Martial can defiantly improve. Will he, I don’t know.

Martial actually links up with other players in the team.

The process - we won’t though

He’s worse striker and injury prone. He won’t be fit enough for enough games anyway. Check his injury record.

Take my wager then but you won’t. It’s not a real bet.
