People won't even pick up their dog poo any more, such is their childish disregard for rules ffs. No chance of getting them to conform. They've done their own research and unsurprisingly their findings are that the pathway that causes them least hassle is the correct one.

What rules?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The article clearly implies that there will be new rules, as you can't have civil disobedience against nonexistent rules. I was referring to that hypothetical.
What rules wouldn't really matter to "researchers," as they won't obey them anyway
when heating bills sky rocket in autumn, added to sky high prices at the petrol pump, big increases to the price of food, with stagnant wages............
shiiit will hit the fan bigtime
we're entering French revolution territory here
massive social changes are brewing up
Do you think the people making the rules will follow them?
Do you think we can trust our 'leaders' to impose justified and we'll thought out rules?
What would you do if living in Sri Lanka and you had no food or petrol?
I for one have had enough of these karens. If you don't wanna risk covid, stay at home. Otherwise crack on.

I was doing some reading on the sad Archie Battersbee situation the other day, and the amount of people under the tweets about him saying things like "you can't trust Doctors these days, they all have their own interests".
We're in the golden age of information, all of human knowledge is available literally at our fingertips, and yet I swear we're getting dumber due to this weird belief people have now where they think they know best.

This is depressingly spot on
Imagine trying to tell a population that is already had enough and where probably over 75% of people are struggling just to eat / heat their homes even more than the start of the year that they now need to obey a new set of rules (or the old ones anyway)
Could be a very somber finish to this year

The next Chancellor is unlikely to introduce a new furlough scheme if there is a new pandemic
People will have to learn to fend for themselves
What evidence is there that hospitals will be overrun?
Post vaccine, the numbers admitted is way down from the worst of the pandemic and the numbers on ventilators is small, relatively speaking… and this has been the case during two waves now (current one included).
Of course we will need to take care and it’s not gone away, but don’t agree with the extremely downbeat views on this article.
