It’s undeniable that Celtic will have much the same team as last season AS THINGS STAND.

First off it’s awful early to be assessing where either team is in the transfer window when we are barely half way through it.

Celtic could lose one of their fullbacks to Athletico Madrid for £50m and Bassey, Morelos and Kent could depart for a combined £15m. There’s a looong way to go as far as the two squads are concerned.

As it stands Rangers have certainly added more new faces where bodies were required. Whether or not they are good enough only time will tell.

Celtic have retained two decent loanees from last season at fairly chunky prices for the Scottish game. I have heard it said several times that ‘they can only get better’. I’ll be honest - I’m not sure that’s entirely true. There’s a different pressure on these players now and they might get better or they might not. Kent was excellent domestically when we won the league but a huge let down domestically last season.

I would say retaining two players proven at our domestic level is deffo a good move by Celtic though. It’s much lower risk than us bringing in Lawrence, Colak and Rabbi.

So IMO we have deffo added more to the squad but there is more risk.

Celtic have a new LB and back up goalie but have lost a couple of key squad players as well.

I think Celtic will deffo sign a couple more.

I think Bassey might go and Morelos would be more likely to go too if he was fully fit. Don’t see clubs forking out say £10m for an injured striker they can get for nowt at the end of the season.

It will be interest to say the least. The impression I get is a decent number of Celtic fans think they are way further ahead of us than they actually are. Fortunate for them I don’t think the team will show the same complacency/arrogance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Its not complacency/arrogance it's just an opinion based on observable reality. Celtic picked up ten points more than Rangers in the second half of the season.

It's actually arrogance of you not to accept that. It's a fact!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s also a fact that you stated on here last season that Ange was an absolute dud and Rangers were certainties for the league with him in charge

It’s also a fact that you then only changed your user name by adding ‘stopping the two’ in the 2nd half of the season when Celtic were in front

It’s also a fact that you now continue to say that you have correctly predicted the league winners for years now and cannot remember when you last got it wrong

It is also a fact that you are making yourself look rather silly and childish by doing so and not just saying you got it totally wrong last season

Those pesky facts eh

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you still going on about that. ?
Is it really that important to you?

Look, I changed my user name at the start of the season to show my opinion. It was there ever since.

As for Ange. I have expressed concerns. I still have concerns.

But he was more than good enough to win the league and will be again

You'll probably also remember that around the same time I predicted that either Ange or the new CEO would be gone be Christmas.

I have a good grasp about what is going on at my club. I'm sure you're the same so tell me...why are Park's of Hamilton suing Rangers in the court only session.

Also please lighten up on the obsessed stuff before you get banned again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You are like my wife, she always says she is not speaking to me again but can’t help herself. At least she makes my breakfast, irons my clothes and let’s me pump her every three months

You never changed your username at the start of the season, you did it when Celtic went ahead

Your Parks of Hamilton suing Rangers is just made up nonsense, a bit like the poster on here who said last season that Rangers owed HMRC £4.8m in PAYE taxes as there was a £4.8m line entry under Tax Deferment in their accounts

It amazes me the length some obsessed Celtic fans go to in order to discredit Rangers, like saying we got nothing in fees for Aribo less than a week from agreeing a £10 lm deal 😂

We did go unbeaten 2 seasons ago.
Rangers have imploded before after Xmas, not a certainty it will happen this season.

If its tight come January I could see us pushing the boat out in that transfer window knowing the CL money is in the bank and there is the carrot of getting that £££ again the following season.

You mean whatever CL money is left after spending the majority of it on standing still 👍

Genuine question ? How the hell do you go about finding out about a court case like that that isnt being reported? How much time do you spend on a dailly basis hunting for stuff like this about Rangers?

How do you go from a case that has zero information about it to saying Parks of Hamilton are suing rangers?

I know the rangers fans get accused of the burying the head in the sand attitude.

Can't speak for any other gers lads on here but at a time when 2 of our top players are heading out the door, one already gone.

Only thing interests myself is the team, can we get good replacements, will we look more exciting up front with a right winger that can move.
A centre midfielder that can shoot from distance, and looking like a young midfielder coming in from bayern Munich.

Parks of Hamilton
Don't give a rats erchie at this time.

If we take eye off the ball, let what mags is going on about affect the team then he be right.
They will win the league by 20 points.

I have said it before - I think Celtic will continue to win big domestically and we need to find a level of. Consistency to match that.

I haven’t seen much from any of the other Scottish teams to think they will put up much of a fight.

It amazes me that Aberdeen were so bang average last season yet they have raised nearly £10m with the sale of two players. It’s points dropped against dross line that we need to avoid.

I think we need to get the better of the OF games to win the league as long as they guys we have brought in help cut out the needless points dropped.

Looking forward to it.

Bassey going will be a blow if he does go - but let’s be honest he was a bit part player at the start of last season and any money north of £15m for him is remarkable business.

What amazes me about Aberdeen is that we were assured by an ITK poster on here that the new owner was a billionaire who was going to spend £50m on them last year yet they couldn’t even make top 6! It’s must be true what they say about a fool and their money!

Nobody should want Morelos right now to be honest.

He’s off the back of a bad injury and is still in rehab.

He’s out of contract at the end of the season.

The only offers you would expect to see now are daft lowball offers. Nothing else would make much sense.

He could still be out for a month or two then break down in his first game back.
