So, I will watch this again, but for the most part. No.
The commentators, I feel are trying to spin it about how much more possession we have.
But the Aussies were allowing us that. They playing low block/counter attack. We had big issues playing against that.
Not being quick enough. Smart enough on the ball. Lack of guile. Reduced to a lot of side to side passing across our back line.
The only thing that I see different, is that we are not as wasteful, trying Hollywood passes.
Then as the game went on, the press seem to working, they seemed more of a unit. And the pressure has paid off.

Basically this, they are a poor side and basically have ran out of gas end of 1st half, it was alot of the same stuff against a deep lying team, pass side to side and then a dink ball attempt

Haven’t seen any of our games so far but it will take time. The reality is that we need better than a spine of Maguire, Lindelof, McTominay and Fred regardless of who is manager and we are addressing that.

Yeah but FDJ would be in the DM position, just not in the style of a ‘destroyer’.

Martinez, FDJ and Eriksen all through the middle would add a fair bit of ball retention and quality to our play if swapped out for Maguire/Lindelof, McT and Fred.

As I said, we looked better as the game went on, so maybe, that disconnect between midfield and forward line, is being drilled into them.
This was a huge problem with the lack of communication addressing this.
But here we are seeing a better connection, even though McT shouldn’t be there.
Well, a bit unfair, it’s the McFred partnership, it needs to die quick.

This is true. We are not seeing it going from one side to the other non stop.

And as I keep saying when the box is packed, have shots at goal. You never know when you will get a lucky deflection.
