I’d say they were probably more likely to lose the PL title last season had Ronaldo joined considering City only won it by a single point. Ronaldo may get you the odd win here or there but overall I think his presence would have made City a weaker unit and less consistent.
I also don’t think for one second Pep ever actually wanted him, same with Sanchez, Maguire and Fred.
His ego's probably been massively bruised by the fact that no top club in Europe is interested. I imagine he thought clubs would be falling over themselves. Hopefully gives him a bit of motivation if nothing else.

I came across his Instagram the other day, so glad he’s left the club, that thing on his chin alone is worth getting rid of him.

I’ve always had my reservations over whether Pep and City wanted Ronaldo.
They definitely wanted the other three, though. City aren’t immune from making bad signings. They’d also all have been much better for City than for us given we are a graveyard for footballers and City are the opposite.
Even Sanchez? I get Fred and to a lesser degree Maguire.

They tried to get Sanchez the previous summer.
But even in that short period he had visibly declined no?
Yeah they definitely wanted Sanchez.

I'd say they would've probably won it very earlier.
Unlike Ole and Ralph, Ronaldo would've sat on the bench under Pep, he may throw a tantrum but his backside will be sat there. Pep being the best in this business would utilise still an elite scorer not only en route to league but possibly champs league final.
But carry on with this thinking.

Unsurprisingly I have to disagree. The best thing about is us signing Ronaldo is that it possibly stopped Liverpool winning the league.
Fair.
What i also keep hearing is that this team finished 2nd and 3rd prior to Ronaldo. I won't go into these seasons because anyone with common sense will look back at those squads and the fact we need a complete overhaul today tells me all I need to know.
What I hardly read however how comes Ronaldo for 19 seasons has never been relegated to Europa until he came to play for us??
So a huge ego like Ronaldo having tantrums couldn’t possibly disrupt the squad? Juve players even said they were glad when he left for similar issues.

Also fair points.
We were far from perfect before Ronaldo joined but I think an immobile striker who doesn’t do much outside of scoring goals was probably the last player we needed in hindsight. Ole had his flaws no doubt but I don’t think it was his call either.
In terms of the Europa thing, I think it’s a combination of 2 things. 1. He always played in better sides than ours last season. 2. He wasn’t 36/37 in previous seasons.

They said this and stank the place last season without him.
Even Madrid after he left went through spells of being mediocre. Madrid being Madrid will always be back.
Ronaldo would have been dealt with by Pep Guardiola. Ronaldo came to a team that was failing and failing heavy, at City he would've been joining a team already serial at winning!!! Different gravy to go there and act a prat and I am sure even he is not that stupid
Ronaldo hasn’t exactly improved the last two clubs he’s gone to. Not all his fault, of course. But it’s not a good look for a supposedly elite player (which also begs the question why he’s ended up at those clubs rather than staying at or joining other elite clubs).
Ronaldo fanboys will never see it, though. Just because he is not the sole problem doesn’t get away from the fact that he’s been a major problem at United and Juve.

Also arguable that he’s been an issue for Portugal in recent years.
I’m not so sure with Portugal, international football is a lot more reliant on individuals with the right temperament for turning up when needed. I think a number of players in their squad lack that and their coach makes Southgate look like Pep.
Club football’s a bit easier to see where the issues are with him.
Here we go with you usual rubbish. Because someone disagrees with your take, that makes them a fan boy.
He went to Juventus and they won the bloody league and he outscored likes of 90m Lukaku. If you want to judge him because they did not win the champs league, it shows your utter stupidity. Messi has gone to PSG and he did not improve them. I am certain if Messi comes to this league and does not go to City he will also cause problems because he is experiencing something called father time!!
Difference between the two, Ronaldo came to the hardest league on planet earth and ends up 3rd top scorer. You have some idiots that think had he played for City, a team with players far superior to ours, he would have stopped them from winning the league because you amazing heads know more than Pep.
One just has to laugh
You are a fanboy because any criticism of Ronaldo sends you into a narcissistic rage. Much like Ronaldo.

Pep isn't the messiah of managers. He's made.plenty of mates and been unable to utilise plenty of star players.
Ibra sticks out in particular. He hardly had a good thing to say about Pep and he was performing at a higher level than Ronaldo currently is. Idea of Ronaldo at city would've made them win everything is easy to say, but difficult to believe.
But his team were still very successful even with Ibra there. So evidence tells me even if Ronaldo did not work for him, Pep would've found a way to win because that is what Guardiola does.
Ibra trying to play for that Barcelona team and Ronaldo playing for City I also don't see the similarity but ok.
