Can he improve Spurs?

If Maddison played then Kane would likely stay further up as a genuine 9. Also in games where Richarlison plays up top Maddison could work in behind him pretty well I reckon.

He maybe wouldn’t play every game, certainly not starting every game. But with 5 subs I think we’ll see a lot of in game changes so he’d have plenty of opportunities.

Personally I’d love to see him at Spurs.

125k a week and one of the few still on a long term contract. Doesn't sound like a spurs signing unless he hands in a transfer request. Even then I'm sure Leicester would try to pull spurs pants down.

He would cost at least 50m as a player they don't want to sell, and with a few years left on his deal. Can't see it tbh. Bether to wait til the end of window for some bargains I think, as players move on and some clubs need to sell.

Do spurs want to spend that much cash on a guy who is very inconsistent and picks up quite a few knocks?

The foot guy doesn’t deal in facts if they are on the positive side for Spurs

The other rumours are Milenkovic Savic from Lazio and Calhonoglou (definitely not spelt right) from Milan.

We are certainly in that market and I don’t think a £60m - £80m valuation would put us off.

Maddison had 30 goal contributions last year - yes he would add to this squad, there is no such thing as a first 11 anymore beyond Lloris, Romero, Kane and Son

if you count up then we need HG players so Maddison becomes more attractive

What isn't a fact? His contract isn't due to expire anytime soon and he's under contract and they've no need to sell.

He's English so will cost a premium and it's not like Levy to target that type of player, especially when they don't want to sell. 2 years = no pressure to sell.

As much as you like to try and make it personal I couldn't care less if u pi55 your knickers constantly cos my opinion differs from yours.

He's picked up a lot of injuries the last few years and is inconsistent.

Wtf does your comment even mean 😂 doesn't deal in facts if they are positive for spurs 😂 what's positive about being linked to him when he's under contract, and will cost a bomb?

Switch your brain on. Everything I said highlighted why he's a bad idea and I can't see it happening. I'd laugh if spurs pushed for his signing.

If spurs go for him over savic they are mental.

Spurs fans have lost their minds this off-season.

Can he improve Spurs? Well given Spurs haven’t won a major title for 31 seasons I imagine the answer is yes lol.

What? You're just naming players now. Ok we can do FIFA brain if you prefer

We'd be mental to go for savic over hakimi.

Also what is "anytime soon" in relation to a contract? I think most people would say when a player enters the final 2 years of his contract is when they're deal is going to be up soon. Certainly nobody would describe it as a long term contract like you did intially. Seeing as by this time next summer his value will have dropped by another ~20 million~ I'd say it's a bit of a ticking clock for Leicester. Think this is a weird line of argument you've chosen to go down

Ah just clocked you meant milinkovic-savic and not Stefan savic.

Still a weird comment. Maddison is 18 months younger, premier league proven and Is coming off a better season than SMS. Feel like you're just overrating SMS because he's more of an unknown quantity and has been linked to some big clubs in previous seasons.

I think that if we go for an AM it will be for some one who can play slightly different positions. Mainly central but offering something else, may be as a Kulusevski back up.

What's all this about Madison?
Is he any damned good?
Why are we not in for really top class players who are available, like Dybala?
If we are looking at all,....look BIG!

Oh yes, with 2 "d"s..maddision.
I guess he's better now

Yes… I agree with Ted…Dybala a much more attractive proposition to Maddison.

posted on 17/7/22

Maddison contributed to 30 goals last season, in the Prem alone he scored 12 and assisted 8.

We’ve just signed Richarlison who most are happy about - he got 10 goals and 5 assists, Jesus - 8 goals and 8 assists. Dybala - 10 goals and 5 assists.

So Maddison schitts on those 3 whilst being home grown.

SMS is a high quality option also - 11 goals and 11 assists in Serie A last season - negatives - not home grown, longer remaining on his contract (that’s for the foot guy) not Prem proven.

Maddison walks into our squad - we don’t do a first 11 anymore

Dybala is just a brand name now. Really isn't the player he was. The only thing that gives him an edge over Maddison for me is the fact that he is free.

Agree. He is still an extremely technical player, but recently, he has been coasting in games, and only coming alive in bursts. Not a player Conte would want, but certainly one Conte could improve the physical side of his game.

The other player we are being linked for this AM position, is Lucas Paqueta.

He's a young player who's highly rated in Europe.
Paqueta can play in a deeper centre role, out wide and up front, showing his versatility, and further highlighting why Conte could be interested.

I think Arsenal are eyeing him up, so Spurs cannot compete in that front. It's given he is going to Arsenal

Maddison over Dybala and any other Johnny Foreigner mentioned on this thread for me. Proven in the premier league is what we need

Of course he could improve us, have you not seen our set pieces?

Maddison is another threat on goal, which means we'd have Kane, Son, Richarlison, Kulu and him as good sources of goals or assists in our squad. And he's homegrown and PL ready.

Good thinking. I used Dybala as an example of the class of player we should be going after.
There are others...much better than Maddison.
Why on earth are we not trying to pry MBappe away from PSG....everyone else is trying!
We have Cl football next season.

And BTW, Mourinho is trying to get Dybala!

"Dybala is simply too good to remain without a club for this long and he should get a new home soon"
A quote from a scouting mag.

What's the general view of Memphis Depay...Another one of the linked players for the AM position?

Personally, he does offer as slightly different approach to our attack
