Toffolo is 100% done. He was pulled from our friendly yesterday to complete the deal. Probably be announced once the finer details with O'Brien are ironed out. They're defo both yours though.

Thanks for that Champers! some good news!
Forest have signed 19-year-old midfielder Brandon Aguilera from Costa Rican side LD Alajuelense.
This guy is seen as potential for the future as he will stay on loan for the forthcoming season and only show up Trentside in time for preseason 23/24!
I think it's about time with Lolley, he's had a lot of chances to regain his form and / or contribute with goals and assists. I've not seen him do either.
With the signing of Toffolo we definitely have LWB covered...with Richards, Toffolo, Williams and of course Colback capable of filling in.
O'Brien slots straight into our very light midfield. I'd still expect another two, possibly three to come in there, with one of those at the level of MGW.
Plus, a RWB, a couple of wingers and a couple of forwards. In a perfect world.
I can't see us gelling until the end of the transfer window and I am expecting zero points from Newcastle (A), Spurs (H) and Man City (A).
Four points off Everton (A) and West Ham (H) would be a brilliant start.
Yes I am probably over expecting here, our new centre forward hasn't managed to find the back of the net yet! Surridge hasn't got on the pitch yet, whether he can make the step up is questionable.
Disappointed that Awoniyi hasn't found the net against what must be considered soft defences, but early days yet, it's about giving the guy the right service and creating space.
Cooper has a big task ahead of him.
I think SC wanted Williams over Spence because he is a better defender, and our wing backs will probably have to do a lot more defending. We will be a back 5 more this season.
Midfield looking very light. Hopefully Yates will be fully fit and have had some time on the pitch before the first match. O'Brien should be a good addition there but we might need another DM in their.
MGW could be a key signing, but I get the feeling it is going to be difficult to get that one over the line.
We also need more goals after the departure of Grabbs and Surridge's continuing recovery from surgery. I would like to see Davis back along with another striker.
As thinks stand:
Hendo
Worrall, Cook, McK
Williams, Yates, O'Brien, Toffolo (or Richards or Colback)
Cafu
Johnson Awoniyi
I don't expect Cook to start at this level and relying on Cafu who couldn't get in the starting eleven last year doesn't bode well imo.
Looking back at Awoniyi's stats his strength isn't against deep lying organised defences. He likes to play on the break and counter attack against teams that push up.

Niakhate in for Cook and as it stands, that’s about all we’ve got.
Toffolo wont be coming to NFFC, looks like his agent has got greedy and scuppered the deal, surprise, surprise. O’ brien deal is attempting to be resurrected.
Both are back in training with ‘udders.
Excellent news!!
Very damn rude of you anyway...talk about sticking the boot in!!
O’Brien also looking like it might fall through as ‘udders are demanding the release clause be paid, which would of course have to be in full, rather than a structured deal. All sounds a bit of a mess.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree that Niakhate will take over from Steve Cook. My thinking is that the back line (with the GK) needs to be kept together in order to build and maintain an understanding. With Brice leaving us I wouldn't want to bring in Niakahte too soon. Of course SC will know better when it is time to bring him in and it may well be in the first game.
There is a ruthlessness about Forest and this summers recruitment. I suppose it's necessary otherwise getting it wrong means relegation and unsustainable debt.
Conte has made a tactless statement regarding Jed Spence, that he was a club signing..whoops
Other news Forest are negotiating to sign Jesse Lingard who is now a free agnate after leaving Man U' this will cost more in wages than Henderson if it comes off!
Reportedly Lingard was considering an offer from the Middle East.
Unlike the Prattingham saga of many moons ago, the Harry Toffolo/Lewis O'Brien saga has finished with a positive conclusion!
Both have signed to day!
O'Brien has been with Town since 11 years of age and has worked his way up. He made 123 starting appearances, scoring 8 goals.
Toffolo was part of the promotion winning team at Lincoln City before signing for Udders in 2020.
Including Hendersons loan this brace take Forest's signings to 10 so far!
Richards has been sidelined for 10 weeks with a hairline fracture of a bone in his leg. So that's why Toffolo started yesterday!
Toffolo is an excellent signing, Richards may find it hard to set a start if Toffolo performs as i believe he can. I think he may well be the bargain of all deals we do this season. Just hope the left back jinx doesn’t hit him as well. He played 60 mins last night and fitted in seamlessly. More solid transfer business, can’t complain so far. I suppose that’s the difference between shopping in Harrods’ versus Lidl, that to me is the difference between prem and championship, yes its better quality, but it certainly costs a good deal more. I am still waiting for SC to sign his contract but he’s certainly been backed by Marinakis.
Not making Cooper feel well rewarded would be beyond stupid!
Looking very likely that Lingard will sign, a very strong source says he’s passed the first part of the medical, and is expected to sign, i assume personal terms have been agreed. However, we are still NOT finished in the transfer market yet, with at least 2 or 3 players still expected this window. Heady times indeed.
A little perspective here, last season the legends lounge was £75 plus vat for a lot of matches, for West Ham at home in August its .. £175 + vat. I guess someone has to pay the exorbitant wages for some of our new stars, guess we know whom that will be.
