It's weird that people seem to have forgotten about the long hot summer of 2018. Doesn't get a look in compared to 1976.

That was magnificent. I could be wrong but I think, though the heatwave lasted a while, it wasn't quite like today or yesterday for temperatures? There were fires on the moors near Manchester though. I remember that.

Yeah it didn't quite hit the temperatures we're seeing at the moment but it didn't rain for about two months and the temperatures were consistently between 26-30C even here in Manchester.
38 in Manchester which is bad enough. Glad I don't live in Londres
A freezing 34 degrees here in Shrewsbury.
My mate just texted, you fancy a couple of pints when the sun goes down.
Obvs said yes, although pointed out the sun doesn’t actually go down until about 9:30pm and it’s still gonna be hot AF!
