Happy to see VDB getting playing time with the first-team
Shaw and Malacia both being given starts to see who can nail down the LB slot it seems. Malacia did well the other day, so hopefully it raises Shaws level.
Dalot clearly the first choice RB now unless we sign one. He’s been good pre season and regularly finding himself in dangerous positions coming inside. Also worth noting most of his ‘crosses’ he’s been close to goal already so they’re more simple cut backs, rather than having to whip it in from deep which usually end in row z.
ETH not rotating too much pre season again as he keeps saying he has to build a team that can be ready to win games from the start. Would expect Martinez to slot in fairly easily to the LCB but not sure in this formation which position Eriksen would take, surely it would be the Beeky role today?
Looking at the fact the whole squad is on the bench, it does bring it home how much we lack top quality depth in attacking areas. Ronaldo or not.
Eriksen seemingly is a midfielder for ETH.
Would be very surprised if we didn’t add another forward, probably one that can play any of the roles.

Needs more game time, was miles better than mct against Palace, villa hopefully have a strong team out today so should be a good test
The first tough game today of pre season. Very much needed.
Really hoping to see something from Garner today.
Missing the game as I’m at a musical tonight. Hopefully Martial keeps the run up and the Perth fans behave when it comes to booing old big head
COOOMMMEE ONN YOOUUUU RREEDDDSS!!!
Just want to see a consistent style of play. Players levels getting higher. Want to see us create clear cut chances. Send out a message.
The stadium we’re playing at tonight btw is legit one of the best new stadiums on the planet. Would love to watch AFL there at some point
Sh*t pitch again apparently. Another downpour likely to make it worse.

The good news from Perth is that today's match between Manchester United and Aston Villa at the Optus Stadium will be played.
The bad news is the surface is now worse than the one Leeds manager Jesse Marsch described as 'not the best' after last night's game with Crystal Palace.
There has been heavy rain around today and ground staff have spent hours trying to get rid of some of the excess water.
A source has said the pitch is 'barely playable' but the match will go ahead

Come on Robb, give us the name of the musical? Does it tell the story of a certain Von Trapp family?
What do we think to Varane’s role for the coming season? Is this showing he’s not guaranteed a game or is it that he’s just not fully fit having missed a game I think?
Will Maguire - Martinez be first choice come September/October?

No, much gayer than that. It’s the Cruel Intentions : 90s musical
Fckin Aussies can’t even get a pitch ready for an occasion as big as Manchester United being in town
Enjoy the musical Robb.

He’s been out of training and only re joined with Garner this week. Was left out the last game as precaution he said. But it’s not looking good for his start to the Ten Hag era as the ever fit Maguire will likely partner Martinez to begin the season.

Imagine spending all that money and not sorting out the most important part of it
First choice Villa team. Should be a much tougher game and the first real test of pre season.
Pitch is a fckin disgrace, injuries likely.

Oh right, never saw it, just read the story. Sarah Michelle Gellar is absolutely facking hot though. I hope the cast is just as sizzling as the movie cast.

Was thinking this, it looks like a patched up training ground in the rice fields of Thailand
hopefully Martial scores again to keep the confidence up
